Alistair in breeding circles I was amazed by this guy, although ancestor ages ago. He bred my profile picture to, Ribot.

Federico Tesio...He is worth a read.

Ah .. 'the wizard of Dormello' - yes, a truly great breeder ... Nearco, Ribot, and a few other damned good horses! Have his book 'Breeding the Racehorse' - which, I have to be honest about, I probably last-opened more than 30 years ago! Maybe it is time to take it off the shelf and read it again!
