My usual skim through of a CT card resulted in a small no confidence patent on...

R3 Kirumbo
R5 House Of Lorraine
R7 Shakespeare's Lady

Be(s)t of luck to all

The form in the first two isnt exciting and Justin Snaith has an unraced Go Deputy colt Arezzo R2 out of the mare Alula and is a full brother to the five time winning gelding Alula Borealis
Robert Khathi rides and is presently at 5/2 to place
Btw where is WE ?

Please excuse if rubbish
 I think we in the dog house with this Kirumbo and to a lesser extent Global Destiny (you right when you say its tricky ).The history of Matador In Red makes compelling reading. Why this horse ?Well he ran his last against Global Destiny and may prove to be relevant to other runners on the day.Fairly consistent as well
Matador started his career in Feb 2013 when just under a length ahead of Vice Admiral
They met again on his next run and the distance separating the two decreased.
His next run is interesting in that on the same day Bad Winter also ran and over the same distance and the times there suggest a beating of some 9 lengths.
Then in his next he was beaten by Counts Rocket by some 5 lengths.
In his following he met and was beaten by Silver Bluff by about 4 and Oreo Shake R8 was inferior by times recorded.
The next relevant run is on the 09-23 and here he beat African Fish Eagle by perhaps two lengths.
The next start he and Lane Frost R3 run on top of each other.
Then in May he showed that South Kensington (3 lgths) and Half Moon Hotel (3,5 +-) are superior,
In his next he had the beating of Golden Dane ,Our Jet and Tibet. He was then beaten by Half Moon Hotel by two.
Golden Dane and Tibet reversed the placings with him next time out and i can guess its because the runs were to close to each other (Lane Frost ran disappointingly here )
On his last run if we adjust the weights there isnt much between him and Global Destiny.
Perhaps a lot of mumbo jumbo but it may prove significant
There is one little tit bit that i picked up and if i could just find that and it involves Tuvano to be ridden by Byleveld R6 where the fancied Belcourt Castle runs.BC ran the same day as Matador In Red and go check that time.Regarding this Tuvano ,this one ran a faster time to MIR on 08-16 and he ran ahead of Belcourt Castle

Make what you can of it

i give blow me away a strong winning chance in the 2nd,just checked out her last run and she only got into it the last 100m.With natural improvement and not being too green should win easily.
Race 3 i fancy shining day too be too good for this lot,but price indicates otherwise.Won decent youngsters in her 2nd start and formline is strong.Dangers for me are I am the law and Counts Rocket.
Race 5 Promising Polly is my eachway selection, has run against a few of these before, low weight and good draw.
Evil Woman should be the nap bet on the card but a bit cautious.
Global Destiny and Capel Top for me in the last.

Taking a treble with Blow me Away,Shining Day and Evil Woman.
Beautiful day in Cape Town by the way.

From the Crawford Racing site. Thanks to them (and the Bass and Ramsden stables) for their continued transparency.

Could be worse doubles to do today imo

Durbanville 1st October

Blow Me Away : This colt made a terrific debut. He is working well and is in good form at home. We are expecting a decent effort.

House of Lorraine: This filly is in wonderful form at the moment. She is consistent and is working well. We are expecting a decent effort and she must be included in everything

PA: 9 / 1,2,8 / 2,4 / 2 / 6 / 1,2 / 1,2,5,7

I make Evil Woman a blinder today and she'll be my anchor in most bets, however I can't help but feel I'll be getting the "told you so" treatment later on as she's ridden by King Karl and she's included in the PA, Jackpot and Pick 6, it does make me less certain I'll admit.

R1 - Jaminna should improve on her last start where she didn't have cover and ended up racing wide. Better drawn today and I think can place.

R2 - Blow Me Away finished well on debut and if handling the track should win.

Card not too easy today.

Watch the Plattner Racing/ Govender team today all. Stable in Cape seems back to old best..

Bad Winter Race 4.. Never been out of top 4 at Durbanville. (including only going down to Cape Town Noir by 1.75l)

I am the Law Race 3.. 3 runs and 2 place at the track. (1st run after gelding and second run after rest is concern though)
