I turned 40 today...comfortably starting middle-age now and realise the blessings I have in my life do not have a price...(un)surprising how the things we value the most cannot be obtained with all the material wealth the world has to offer !!

As an aside, I share a birthday with Wagar Younis, Paul Scholes, Chinua Archebe (author of the novels Great Ponds and Things Fall Apart) and is also the anniversary of the date on which Indians arrived in SA in 1860 on the ships the Truro and Belverdere...interestingly, Tongaat, a small North Coast town where I grew up, has an industrial area called Trurolands and a township called Belverdere... :)
