I am a gunners fan,and I have been one since my mother got me from my dad (hopefully not at prom night). I have had 9 years of relentless abuse from man utd supporters. I always defended my team although in my mind I knew we were the proverbial "chockers".. I am extremely shocked to see the amount of utd supporters that have suddenly gone into there shell..
Are you living your life or waiting to die?

@cnc...I'm switching to fish and chips because chicken and chips leaves a nasty taste in the mouth !! :)

Please don't generalise about United supporters being glory hunters...maybe the ones you know...all teams seem to have supporters that gravitate towards them when glory beckons...many people were quite vocal on this forum in their support of Liverpool last season when it looked like they may win the title after 20+ years but the relative silence of that majority has returned with only the lifers still (rightly) having their say...

I, for one, didn't realise Man City had supporters until they won the league 2 years ago and with the second title they have started to emerge...all clubs have fickle supporters as well as die-hard supporters...and with United having had / accumulated so many supporters through the last 20 year successful run, there are bound to be those that have not been through the lean years and cannot understand that the wheel does turn...ask the West Indies and Aus cricket teams as well as other dominant teams...United's run of success has been all the more remarkable as other clubs are getting owners with the resources to buy success and just maybe United cannot compete with that financial might any more hence the perceived failure...

Watched my 1st ever EPL game in Manchester around 12 years ago on a job asssignment in Manchester (the Ruud v Nistelroy, Roy Keane, era)

Ended up watching every home game for a period of around 2 years and will stay a United fan for that win or loose.

IMO van Gaal will put this team back in contention for top honor sooner rather than later....

I don't voice my support in the off season. It seems pointless as most comments I've seen prior to the league starting were "wishful or hopeful thinking".

I do agree with CnC however, majority Man U supporters have gone into hiding but much respect to TNaicker and the rest of the Man U supporters that are still not shy to support their team.

I just hope you can handle it as well as the Arsenal, Liverpool, etc fans have done over the years... This is what separates the men from the boys, the true supporters from the glory hunters. Gotta love it!

@ C&C
Firstly you United fans are so deluded that I actually feel sorry for you.

C&C

I am actually humbled that you still feel sorry and concern yourselves about United. Thanks buddy.

But really, please don't go to all that extent.
Use that energy to take care of yourself, your family, your own team.
Believe me it has benefits.

As for me, I will dream on, yes it's a dream at this moment that we could sign a few shortly.
BTW... the fans are now asking for the removal of Ed Woodward.

Why are you shocked???

There is NO shell. It is reasonable that when your team is NOT performing, there is nothing to write about.
If and when we start winning, then we will NOT stop bragging about it. That will be nothing out of the ordinary.

Common sense tells you that Mr.

We don't let football control our lives. The ball is round and we have better things to do than to allow football or United in this instance to raise our blood pressures.
I am a betting man.
Yesterday I put 2k on the double Liverpool 1st half/ full time and City 1st half/ full time.

5000/2000 a good bet
