Runners today
Race 5 : Golden Dawn. She lost her form after developing a breathing problem. She is now way down in the ratings, and her two runs on the poly in PE were not too bad. She is reportedly working nicely, and her breathing is sounding better in work. From a nice draw, she could pop up here at long odds. Not one to be confident of, but worth putting into the exotics, as this is a very open contest, and she may well be better on the turf. The handicapper may now have caught up with Starlight Beauty. Lupin ran well behind a couple of smart sorts in Cape Town lately, while Silvan Spirit is well weighted here if not needing the run after a break. National Forest is a bit inconsistent, but has a chance with the 4kg claim. La Salle is also well in at the weights if overcoming the wide draw. The list of possible winners does not stop there, and this might be a Field leg for the P6.
Selection (with more hope than confidence) : Golden Dawn/ Lupin/ La Salle/ Silvan Spirit
Race 8:Call of the Hunt. She has run two fair races over further since relocating to PE, and she is a big runner here despite the drop in distance. She has been working well, and this is not the strongest of Novice fields.
Endearment is distance suited, and has comparable CT form, but has a very wide draw to contend with. Sartorius won comfortably last start, and could easily improve on that. She looks the main danger. Come Play has sprinted well on the poly lately, and with the 4kg claim could be a danger if suited to the trip. Kirkby Ninja has been below best , although running against much stronger, and the 5 lb MR drop may bring her into the picture.
Selection (with some confidence) Call of the Hunt / Sartorius/ Endearment/Come Play

Are the Sham's at the sale? It would really be nice to hear from them today. I reckon they have a few chances today.......and i tend to disagree with Rob that JP has the plum rides today. just my opinion.....

Morning from a sunny and warm Durban, Rocky will be saddling in PE today. We have 9 runners today...

Race 1 Ballyhoo for Oscar and Chellvan Abbey.. Both baby boys that are improving with each race.very hard to choose between them and should make a nice stable swinger.

Race 2 Impresa having his first run for us may need further but working well and could run on into the places.

Race 3 Zenith (experience) and Epic Illusion (green improver) both well and swingers a good bet.

Race 5 La Salle and Chosen Goddess both very well and should be in the places.

Race 7 Blow Me A Kiss and her issues are well known. A very strong field and we will be happy with a cheque.

Race 8 Sebastian Bolt work is very good and from a draw (for a change) is a big runner.

Other races
Race 3: The two babies having their second runs look good enough to fight this out, as the older horses look very moderate.
Selection: Sleepinseatle/Epic Illusion/ Zenith/Jay's Favour
Race 4: A pity Shakespears Lady did not get in, as she would have been hard to beat here.
Selection Arctic Desert/ Frosted Flakes/ Pretty flamingo/ Sugar Prism
Race 6: Gianduja looked a good thing here before scratching.
Selection Drumminor/ Drill Sargeant/ Crown of Gold/Maximo
Race 7: Captainofmysoul has disappointed her last two, but should be hard to beat here. Variety Star is out at the weights, but is consistent and improving, so must be respected.Lielums can be excused her last run when very slow away, and is classy. Yoshie and Maties Wildekat are out at the weights but are quick and improving. Conquering Queen is thrown in the deep end here- one would have thought that she would be better off in juvenile company for now.
Selection Captainofmysoul/ Leilums/ Variety Star/
