Usually don't have much for Sunday's but found two I'm pretty keen on.

Race 5 - Augustinus: Didn't stay last time over 2400m and that effort is best overlooked, the selection had been in fair form previously though and returns to this track, one that he excels at and I'd like to think he's much better here than anywhere else, and he's gone close twice over this C&D in the past. On his penultimate start, he hung quite badly to his left which gave his rider all sorts of problems, but to his credit, he stayed on really nicely to finish 4th. He was behind Rheims that day, who re opposes today but the fact is that Rheims has never really shown his best at this circuit, while Augustinus has. There's plenty of other dangers here, but I do get the impression there's plenty of mileage in taking on Gogetthesheriff, who has a good draw but some questions regarding the trip (may need further) and the fact I think he's too short. Brass Verdict is consistent but about the right price, even accounting for Strydom on board and Gold Bay could be the big danger, as he's always sort of shaped like he had a big performance in him though.

At the current prices though, the 9/1 about Augustinus is far too big to ignore and worthy of a bet.

Race 9 - Circle Of Speed
: Takes a drop in class today and has been running in some decent events as of late, so the switch back to handicaps ought to be a positive sign. This 1450m distance is a little odd but it's one that Circle Of Speed really excels at, as from five starts he has only been out of the frame once. She can sometimes blow the start which is a slight concern and she needs a strong pace to aim at, as she can sometimes pull hard. The small field events her previous two starts had come in won't have suited her in this regard, even not accounting for the fact she was up against better horses. Bigger field, strong pace and her ideal trip should lead to a really nice run and from a good draw too, she has plenty in her favour today with a good jockey aboard. The once-raced favourite is respected of course, but even though I got stung out taking of these types on yesterday, the switch to a big field handicap on only a horse's second start means they have to be a good one to win.

I was expecting her to be vying for second favouritism given when I first glanced at her form, so to see 9/1 available, it's far too big a price.
