RA Membership

You did not have to have colours to be a member of a racing club in "the bad old days"'. I was a member of Turfontein Turf Club so that I could race in the elevation room as a PUNTER
Interesting that racing would want to make itself more inaccessible! So if you don't have colours that now means you are relegated to the cheap seats at the racecourse.
Not really a problem.............I don't think I have been to the races in JHB more than 6 times in the last twenty years!
Still enjoy racing in Natal when visiting though!

That's what annoys me about it Rob, we go to the Elevation Room at least once a month and when there is midweek racing at Turffontein during the day, I normally go, so to cut people off for giving up Colours, sounds like cutting off ones nose to spite your face.

Like You, Rob, I have friends who have never had Colours, but have been Members for years
