Guys name was Reggie Walker.
Still the youngest person to win the Olympic 100m gold - which he won in 1908.

My apologies he was 16/17when he ran the 20.51/20.88 had to google it. world junior record stands at 20.13 and 19.97 Usain Bolt.
The world record at the time for youth was 20.39

Nobody is going to get close to the WR 9.58 anytime soon...that was a day when everything was right...Ross Tucker and other sports scientists have done calculations that 9.55 is probably the absolute minimum if all conditions right and athlete runs all the way to the line...no ease up to celebrate...

Not possible to go low 9,5 unless he improves his start and runs all the way to the line...but 9,4 ??...can't see where he is going to pick up another 0,1 after improving start and finish...he is already the fastest ever during the middle part of the race (40-80 metres) and has the lowest 10m and 20m splits ever during this phase of the race...
Already takes the fewest paces over 100m due to height / stride length so where the further reduction is going to be, I just cannot see...
