the 1st and 2nd horses were first timers so its a bit premature to call it the blind school .

Fair enuff and maybe ---- but i am willing to put money down to say if HIGH ARROW runs in that same race with a different jockey- the result would be different.. The high arrow that won last nyt like it was 6/10 on 23 March wen Anton rode it. Is it just ironic that on 23 March races 1,2 and 3 where favorites that got bet down and then the 4th one being the shortest - lost. And lost by lengths.

Stand to be correct however that was Anton's only ride for the day-- carded... I wonder-- get a few grands to win a race or a packet to throw it. Will certainly look @ the replAy later on today. Cos yes on 23 March i stood to pick up lil over 45k on that horse. This excludes many many many punters.

If you backed the horse on form ,you were right .............it beat everything that had been exposed !
You obviously guessed that none of the first timers were any good.................you were wrong ..........1st timers ran 1st and 2nd....................how was that Marcus's fault?
(the only horse that nearly cost it last night was a 1st timer too!)

As you get deeper into the racing year, the weaker the "exposed maidens" and therefore the greater the chance that a 1st timer may have more ability than those that have already been spanked in the maidens.

Ag you guys blaming Anton give me a headache - he is not a top jock for nothing - He will be proved right and last nights field must have been the weakest race i ages. To continually be blaming Delpech and Marcus on this forum makes me feel sick in the stomach and i really respect them for the good attitudes they still have because most racing people talk only from their pockets and have no clue on reading a race or form - and that does not imply picking winners it just means you cannon analyse a result objectively and its always the jocks fauly. I myself thought High Arrow cudnt miss last time at Scottsville but the last person i would point to would be Anton. Get a life and stop blaming the jock. Most times the horse is moderate and expectations are far from realistic. Guaranteed first run out the maidens High Arrow will be unsighted!

I neva push blame - please read my post carefully- what i did say was i wonder. With that said-- all i am pointing out is that in less than 2 weeks later the horse ran a different race regardless of the field it went up against. And rightfully so me and plenty punters will speak from our pockets. It is our pockets that fund this sport...
