You guys are quick to pass judgement... Could it be that this person did not know the dog was chained... Oh yes it was Chatsworth so its self explanatory... But seriously... This person did not know and he says his family member tied it to the car... Mishaps and accidents occur... lets give him the benefit... Read alot on ABC and people shouldNt be too judgemental....

Agreed 100%. Dogs should not be tied up! If you dont have the yard space for tolerance for a pet...DONT GET ONE!!!!

location of the incident is irrelevant

What happened was down right cruel - accident or not!

Why was the dog chained to the car bumber - it should not be chained at ALL

they should be able to run free in a fenced environment

Imagine what the poor dog went though being dragged on the tar :(

Neven, what Venodh was saying we were up in arms because it was an Indian, what I was saying is it is irrelevant whether it was a black, white, Indian or coloured who did it. It is disgraceful. :S

I wonder wat punishment he will receive, if he said he didn't know the dog was hooked onto the bumper is lying. He would have heard the dogs cries or seen it in his rear view mirror. I hope he serves time for this unthinkable act of cruelty.

On the balance of probability, I say the driver is guilty....of being a cold-hearted, murderous SOB, or of being the most ignorant driver on earth by not knowing somethings tied to the back of his car.

Guys I saw today that a certain individual (colour not an issue) owner and driver of a BMW 320d, arrives at a petrol station and tells the pump jock to 'fill her up. He looks at the pump after about R100 goes into the tank and sees the green screen rolling. He jumps out and stops the jock.

Jock tells him no problem sir, if I put in double the volume of diesel the mix will sort it out in a few km's.

The driver/owner says to the jock: ' Ok if you say it will work, lets try it. He pays, starts up and drives off. 4km later engine packs up.

Now he wants to sue the jock and the petrol station for stuffing up his engine!!

Both these drivers should not be allowed to drive! If you do not know you are towing a dog behind your car, adn you do not know that you cannot put unleaded fule in your diesel vehicle, you should not own a car, nevermaaind drive one
