The offer by Ships Gossip is commendable.Maybe on the wrong thread but the vitriolic and sarcastic posts are, imo, out of order.

Guys I don't look a gift horse in the mouth nor do I knock someone giving something for nothing. Also grateful to Titch for his work on it and trying to do something good for clanners, don't think that is underestimated bud cos it is not BUT I won't play this comp because to me it sounds like Playabet are simply trying to get a load of new clients on board and the reward they offer comes nowhere near the amount of money they will make in one day if say 20 people sign up and bet with them. Sorry, I know that every sponsored comp is self-advertising too etc but an all-expenses day at the Met for the winner including travel, accommodation, food n drink etc would have made me sit up and take notice and made me think they were a company to deal with, R500 (total R1000) on a one-off comp for the amount they will make on participants, makes me "cringe" if truth be told. Apologies to anyone who thinks I sound ungrateful etc, it is just the way it comes across to me.

the reason that Playa ask that all participants register and fica is becoz otherwise they cannot credit the winners accounts,I am trying to get a few people on board to make it interesting and of all the online bookies i approached only Playa were prepared to partake, flowers direct have come aboard and Dave Safi has now offered a 1 year subscription to Form Grids Pro for the winner and hopefully we can get a few more people to offer prizes as well...
No doubt I overreacted to SG's post and could have and should have handled it better but was having one of those OTT days, I apologise to him for the knee jerk reaction which was totally out of line and uncalled for...
