hi guys,

first post so be nice to me :)

what happened to 14. Lavish Gal in Race 5? i see it was a NR but what happened? did it withdraw before the race or did it try and run? i completely missed what happened.

If you not on the outside going you cannot win.Can someone explain why the going is better on the outside?

I think historically (before they split the courses) the going was always a little better right against both rails - LG can probably confirm, but I think it has to do with the track being higher down the middle than the sides - so when the track was split, the better going in general still remains on the inside when they race on the inside track and on the outside when they race on the outside track; however there are exceptions to every generalization - today in Race 5 the horses drawn 4,1 and 2 ran 1st ,3rd and 4th :S

Beats losing - good stuff (tu) - next time you should take 20% or 25% of your stake on winsand the rest on places (and then they will probably all place)
