If City of Athens does not suffer from the believed or not to be believed second run after a rest syndrome, i think this will take a power of beating. Was an impressive winner last time.
Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

If you had asked me purely on form weather I would back it I prob would not of.......Note that it went back in trip, this run was exactly inbetween its previous 2 distances, usually a good sign and I think if hadent been for this I wouldnt of put a cent on!!

Well enough of this lets get into Vaal !!! :)-D

Last time on the inside course I seem to remember it was probably preferential to be drawn low, something to look out for as the day progresses perhaps.

R1 Not going to blame him if wrong on this occasion lol but I am pretty sure Muhti advised caution with backed Zaki first timers (apologies if inaccurate) so I will be in the Felan camp. The other Spies runner Arawin might be the value in the race.
R2 At the prices I'll try Klondike Creek but I do expect Captain's Pleasure and Dream Hunter to be very competitive. Da Moonsta for quartets and also including an e/w complete butter (hahaha not editing but should be nutter lol) selection, Road Trip.
R3 Working around Lucky Gambler, Lady Muffet and Kailani
R4 My preference is for Dance Alley with Nondweni's Filly not getting there in time again. Of the bigger prices, Critical Mind perhaps.
R5 Very open, I'll chance an e/w on Rheims. Main dangers may come from Top Command, Cannon, Glitter Alley and Delamere.
R6 Trying an e/w with Stylista. Viking Hero and One Cool Cat likely to be right up there. They are all drawn high though and I'll be watching out for Shannon's Boy down the inside.
R7 I'll side with Ahoy Captain here to perhaps edge out Impresa. Money Doesn't Count and Rambo to be competitive.
R8 Stormy Tiger looks the right one to me with Soleil Royal and Moggytwoshoes close up. Chedwin Park definitely not overlooked and Start Your Engines could go well again.
R9 At the prices I'll side with Moza Wadoda. The reserve Blue Spirit could be a big runner imo and Move Like Jagger might go better than the price suggests. Moofeed and What A Boytjie are obvious dangers.

Feel a bit like a lamb to the slaughter posting today lol.

Be(s)t of luck to all (tu)

Some thoughts - I agree that the inside draws down the straight could be advantageous.

R1: Money (again) suggests Power to Succeed to be the right one - drawn on the inside and raced runners look very moderate

R2: I still prefer the older horses over ground - so it lies between Klondyke Creek and Da Moonsta imo, from Dream Hunter

R3: Fillies handicap - beware - City of Athens fair maiden win but not sure about the strength of that field and also tries further :S; imo Lady Muffet looks the value - poor run last time, but if they race before it rains, I think she will go close; Gypsey Myth a maiden winner last time (like CoA) but a 4yr old and also should get the trip - good value imo (especially for places); Ruby Chimes may prefer shorter but rates a chance as well - lots of others lurking

R4: Asiatic Pearl has some solid recent from and could challenge Mrs Hancock, MH more scope for improvement though; Dance Away finished behind AP twice, so no reason why she should turn around the form imo; Nondweni's Filly better on ths sand imo and Danish Zealot has been disappointing - perhaps worth one last chance :S

R5: Open handicap - I also think Rheims (blinker strike) looks the value, but the top 3 in the betting also appeal - and Glitter Alley will probably go to the front and could hang on - not easy

R6: Very tough race - where's my pin ?

R7: Another competitve handicap, but I also think Ahoy Captain is good value; however quite a few trip specialists around including Right to Tango, Rambo, The Mutineer and Zanzibar Man also needs consideration after a good last run for his new stable

R8: Imo both Start Your Engines and Chedwin Park represents good value at the odds - either or both of them could challenge Soleil Royal and Stormy Tiger who look the principles; Moggytwoshoes may just struggle at the weights against the boys imo

R9: A lot depends on how good Mofeed is - is not finding a lot of betting support at the moment and did not beat a lot imo in his maiden win, but if he's the main reason for Delpech being at the Vaal, he may well have a lot of potential to improve; Woza Madoda the main danger imo and for a roughie I like Celtic King

Enjoy (tu)

I like Tuesday Child to win race 6. Beaten most of this field !!! At 12/1 a rather nice prize. Any comments on this?
