Thanks for all the suggestions / jottings; an interesting card awaits imo; some thoughts from my side:

R1: Google It has run well over this trip (c&d ;)) behind Dangerous Liaison finishing in front of subsequent winners Norgay (on turf though), Golden Dollar and Eusebius and is a clear first choice for me and a banker in smaller Bi-Pots imo; I make the biggest danger Selazar, who also has put up a good performance over the trip behind Oklahoma Trippi; Shepherd's Song was beaten by a moderate sort (imo) last time and now tries an extra 200 from a wide draw, so not for me; for roughies I'd consider Ngiyashisa (well drawn and tries blinkers today) and the first timer Sula (by sand sire Kahal and also gets a fair draw)

R2: At the weights this looks a straight forward clash between Uncle Tommy and Formation, over the 1600 I prefer Formation - Uncle Tommy was also beaten by Magic Smoke over this trip, so as F clearly holds MS, F should really prove hard to beat; dark horse is the sand debutante Straw Market, who (being by 'sand sire' Windrush) could be anything on the surface.

R3: Conditions plate which is complicated by the fact that Margot on Stage (best in here) has had 2 unplaced efforts over the sand, yet the stable is returning her to this surface; if running to her turf rating, she can easily win here, so who knows? Undercover Cat is second best in here, and gets the blinkers today - probably in an effort to ensure that she takes advantage from pole position and gets handy (she got lost a bit in her previous - and only - sand effort over 1600); nothing much between All in the Mind, Eagle High and Aloha Bay (courtesy of the 2,5 kg apply allowance) at the weights, so all 3 could feature, while Flight Zone tries the sand, so could also be in with a shout if taking to the surface; tough looking race, where Undercover Cat is probably the right one, but no value at evens imo

R4: Very weak maiden plate for fillies; nothing really stands out for me and an upset could be on the cards here - Mighty Mo improved with the blinkers, but the extra 250 could be a problem; Wrap Me Up finsihed a close 3rd last time, that was also a desperate field, but she seems to be improving and is my tentative first choice here; Soft Sand has finished behind Phelan (beaten 6 lengths by Mighty Mo) on her last sand effort, so I can't fancy her - I agree with Englander that the sand debutante Cash Back does not have to be a star to beat this lot

R5: Open looking handicap - Levanto certainly enjoys the surface and should be right there again; Dual Alliance also comes off a win, but that was a pretty slow run race (not sure if that was on a wet track :S) where he ran slower (by quite some distance) than the maidens Fighting Force and Sub Shaawes ::o; both the Erasmus runners Chedwin Park and Smart Royal seems held by Levanto, but bost must have place chances; Baron Zemo seems to have lost form and may need a little help from the handicapper

R6: Another conditions plate where I agree with most in that Contador looks the right one; some doubts about the stable's form - but he does seem to hold the main danger Nice Stride on the run behind Here Comes Billy; any of the others (bar Maji Moto) could finish 3rd

R7: Filles handicap - not easy imo; Shiver and Shake has the plum draw, but tries 1200 which could be a problem; Dalalaat put up a good pinultimate run over this trip, but has the 10 draw to contend with; Tacit Tiger just got run out of it (giving the winner 7.5 kg's in her pinultimate over this trip), so not without a chance either; then we have Fortress Mine and Iventive Girl (will they or won't they take to the sand), Eccentric Model (should get the trip as she won he maiden over 1400 on the turf) and the inconsitent Zena's Own and also Sucha Wonder (fair last two efforts at the track but drawn wide) - where's that pin?

R8: Another tough looking handicap to close; El Manolette seems to have his problems, but if he can repeat his pinultimate effort behind Muthiah Pillai, he should win this; Chipnputt put up a good last run on the surface, but imo was not finding a lot at the finish and could have trouble with the extra 200 metres today, Estancia (despite a good last effort) also looks better over less ground imo, and quite a few others also would not come as a complete shock, should they win; thes include Noble Intention (big weight imo for the 3yr old sand debutante), Sugar Ray (some fair runs, but drawn towards the Vaal River), Astrochen (tries the sand after 23 turf efforts, Silver Specialist - go Elvis (tu) (I would ignore his last race in the mud) and the mare Dare to be Grand (break a leg Bignic (tu)) - so for me it's El Manolette or anything

Enjoy (tu)

Sula making debut at age 5 as a gelding.
They really kept this one for a special occasion.::o

I see the support however im not touching it.
Waiting for the egg.......

Sheperds song balls to the walls. Wide draw not a bother for me.

Google it looking for further than 1200m just my observation.

Strydom to opening the meeting.

Ran in the sophomore against some good sorts.
Excuse the last run. Should be on the button with an extra furlong to gallop.

Sheperds song by 2lengths:)-D

Ran 3.5 lengths off tiger territory who beat uncle tommy and white line fever. I dont see any horse in this field beating white line fever or uncle tommy who ran over a length behind tiger.

SS is the improver.

Maybe loius can tell us if the horse is fit
