Having said that the weather could turn nasty late afternoon

This was a case of the betting patterns telling a completely different story to the interview!
Med Man was about 3x its fair price and the companion was backed from 12/1 to 7/1 and then cruised in .......B)-

Wow compare the pace of that race as opposed to the snails of Capetown in Kenilworth staying race yesterday - Those Cape jocks really know how to destroy the form book

dont want to sound negative but the ban on satelitte yards is having a bad effect on out of season natal racing as far as punting goes..besides the maiden plates up to 1400 or 1600 and some low mr rated races for fillies and mares the fields are to small...i dont see the point of having 3 plate races on a 8 race card out of season as 95 percent of the runners are definitly not feature race contenders which is what plate races cater for....i see in the programme that qualified maiden plates are on the way as well

We all agree that to have 3 plate races on a day is not the best idea ever. Those are the races that we want the satellite yards to bring but I think I have mentioned that on ABC a few hundred times!;):D Trying 1 qualified maiden race on the added meeting on the 1st December. Be interesting to see the nominations and turnover on it.

craig for a satelite to be financially viable they have to bring 20 horses minumin and the bulk of most trainers yards are maidens and lower class handicapers...also the season is in the cape and gauteng so those horses that use plate races will be in those provinces where the features are taking place...

Could not agree more....they should have let the yards die along with Clairwood......stirring up the issue and trying to enforce it has now left the off season looking very drab.....todays card is very uninspiring......:(
