i think he was beaten by a better horse plain and simple- those two were way clear of the rest - had it been 1600m he may have been beaten by further but i think still would have been ahead of the rest - There was nothing that Anton could have done differently so then it's about who is a better horse and that is The Captain!!

Perhaps the Guineas will show if The Captain can emulate his father Captain Al and give Red Ray, De Kock and a few others a beating, right now it looks as if there is a Jackson and Variety Club rebirth and I'm hoping the RTR was not a sire-booster result as we know where Captain Al stands.

Right now many would take the plunge on The Captain winning the Guineas but stranger things have happened in racing.

good question...(tu)only time will tell...

I believe CA was the better horse on the day....but by the same token...RR did not look the best that I've seen him....
