I wish you both the very best BUT i dont think at this stage the title is realistic. Even if he rides ALL of Sean's horses. I do believe though that he has it in him to become champion. I just think that for example Muzi is better placed at the moment with his PE rides to collect numbers towards championship. Muzi Also has Flabingo rides. then we need to add
Striker
Marcus
Fourie
Delpech to the mix

So this is how things will work as an agent, when phoning for rides when looking at the list above is calling for 6th best AT best.....nothing wrong with that and i am sure he will get there BUT i just dont think it will be next season. Probably 4 or 5 seasons away.

I don't neccessary agree with you. Success breeds success, and as he rides wi ners he will be noticed and move up the ladder. And Justin will be phoning for the 5th best ride. . . .then 4th best..... quim sabe' ?

the jockeys championship is plain and simple if marcus striker or delpech have a go then nobody else has got a snowballs chance of winning it...the ball is in their court

I agree with you Justin.... the 5th best are winning very nicely. It will take energy, enthusiasm and commitment from both of you. I believe that you can do it !

When Piere got up here in 1988, the first ride that I got for him was a horse named Whitewash Willy. This horse had run last in his previous 5 outings. So, we would have loved any 6th best horse at that time ! ps - but, then again, the Striker factor kicked in and was introduced to Gauteng - the horse started at 100 to 1 and Piere came from last to run 3rd.....

Justin, please feel free to drop in at Clairwood before Sunday or at Vaal thereafter. It will be a pleasure sharing some of the tricks with you.

I agree and have been outspoken many times about the important role an agent plays. So in essence i get it, my only observation was going for the title next year. I will bet he cannot win it next year, it will take a few more years.......

Off the top of my head and only my opinion...
Like a lot of other professionals....

Time...they don't have the time to book, phone around...
It's not their forte...they prefer to be jocks...
There are professionals out there that are better at it than most jockeys..
