Hoping of a good run from Szechuan today,this only the 2nd time he's been to scottsville,the 1st being his debut which was a run for the experience,if he brings his best form he could win. Lol I just wish the commentators would pronounce his name properly. Its pronounched Sech-wan.

Interesting race the 6th - yogus obviously entered 4 horses to ensure that the race is run so must fancy the chances of storm sagaz but Abercrombie and the De Kock coupling will make a race out of it - interesting....

My punt for the day will be Abercrombie. Don't be put off by the fact that he is only a one time winner against multiple winners. The fact that the field has been cut down by the scratchings, I think this will help his cause because he never jumps on terms and worse case scenario, he will only have 4 horses ahead of him as oppose to a much bigger field to thread his way through. Blinker strike as well. The pace of the race shouldn't be a problem because he does quicken well. None of this lot has bumped into the class he has raced against, I think 3/1 is a very good price.

Mercurial Brave for me.
He will start proving his class and will mature into a nice type..
If Rock Cocktail was touted good enough to get a run and be competitive ind July, MB must be very decent if not for his issues as he. Is a very good horse

I would be a little careful of Mercurial Brave. He shows pace and has been making respiratory noises. I would be slightly concerned with him over 1800m. The one good thing is that he may get the pace scenario in his favor. There could be no pace in which case he could get an easy lead......still the 11/10 available right now does not inspire me to have a punt.

What about Rocco's Luck then - 1,7 lengths behind Rock Cocktail carrying 62 kgs???
