Did the breathing problem develop after Strydom got off and told Louis that he's never been better.
Some of my comments are regrettable and I apologise.

No problem. I can understand it from Tarry's point of view, cos what would have happened if the horse had won? From what I have gathered it is not a gone in the wind type of problem, so they were confident that a tongue tie would sort it out.

imo taking last years run into perspective I found it difficult to see Pomodoro as the winner.

If something was amiss with Pomodoro,i sure the vet would have picked that up at the start.
S Tarry is a top trainer, probably used past experieces from other horses with similiar signs,to allow this horse to start.

Late last year we heard the stables best horse The Hangman got injured.
Heavy Metal was the trainers 'July' horse as per TT preview on the 6 April 13.
I took the hint and lumped on in that sprint but the horse ran unplaced with Anton up!Form has been very good since.

I also watched Andrew Bons video on the race. From the trainers expression,i'm sure he was just relieved one of his horses won.

the alarm bells for punters were ringing when the tongue tie was declared...dave thistleton can only do so much and unfortunately he is a lone light when it comes to reporting straight from the horses mouth so to speak...im not one to listen to inside info but the general wellbeing of the horse is always much appreciated...is this asking to much?
