I guess we'll see later today ......

Not a bad card imo for the last night meeting (I believe ?) of the season in Gauteng; some thoughts:

R3: Imo will be fought out by Maeve and Val de Vie, unless Madame Carla can do her reputation justice - as mentioned before I think the juvenile has it all to do

R4: Gypsy Al reported not to act last time in soft going, so probably worth another chance from pole position - got to within 4 lengths of Gothic once; lots of 'spooks' waiting to pounce though -- Zeerust very disappointing in his last 2 runs, but tries blinkers and must have a chance in this field if reproducing his earlier runs; Colours of Love has found betting support, but even on his best runs still looks to have something to find imo; Jubilee Claim probably looking for this sort of trip and finished only a length behind GA in his 2nd start, but a wide draw is not in his favor - could be running on into a place though; Blazing Al is the current favorite, but probably only because he comes from the Tarry stable and needs improvement imo

R5: Open looking sprint; Crown Gold is struggling for his 3rd win, but must have a shout here - not much between him and Virtuosity who could have more improvement to come; Edict has now dropped to a mark where he can also be competitve and Oh Driscoll can't be ignored with Striker taking the ride again; Kapellmeister and Jumbo do not have the best of form at this track and Kingston looks held at the weights imo.

R6: The toughest race on the card imo; Lucky Hand does not have the worst of form on the turf and should be concerned from a nice draw; Music Affair jumps from pole and must have a chance as well as Moonriver Magic, who ran a close 2nd over this trip and has dropped 5 points in MR since that run; lots of others looking to be in the money - load up

R7: Indian Striker looks the right one, could be at best over a little further though and a fast track may find him out; still looks the only possible PA banker; biggest danger for me is Vantage - should now be back to best and has taken a 7 point drop in the ratings; Kashan ran a fair race last time when trying the distance, still finished behind Ace of Hearts in that race, so the form could be a bit suspect.

R8: Another competitive looking affair; Aces High tries shorter and should be competitive from a nice draw; Commision Due and Ampthill Park try further but both have been running on over shorter, so should be thereabouts; Zanzibar Man may need another run, especially from a widish draw; roughies to consider imo are Bee Keeper who gets the 'allies' fitted and Storm Ballet who was as high as a 85 after running 4.5 lenghts behind Meissa (remember him?) and now has dropped 19 points to a 66 ::o

R9: I really fancy Rand Club here; drawn a bit wide, but gets the 4kg apprentice allownance, which puts him clear of his main dangers, War Front, Saratoga Magic, Flaming Forge and Gentleman Jack imo

Enjoy (tu)

Well Pirates you were right..:)-D...I still don't think any other stable could have pulled that off though-a 2yr old over a mile in April is pretty special!
