Chelsea look to be very English. Not sure if the Bosman ruling had anything to do with it but the English top flight was streets more alluring when they had restrictions on foreigners. I recall QPR in the 90/91 season, despite having a team that included Sir Les, Wilkins, Paul Parker, David Bardsley, Andy Sinton, MacDonald, Roy Wegerle, Mark Falco, Jan Stejskal, Simon Barker, etc etc being in big trouble 2nd bottom at Christmas due to defense injuries. The scout went out and bought Darren Peacock frm Hereford, Andy Tillson from Torquay(?)' Rufus Brevett from another lowly club and we finished mid table. Those were the days, terraces, British players and true passion not this big money wins all rubbish of today.
