Very difficult card imo and expecting "shocks" aplenty... just some of those that tugged at me a little at the prices...

Idiots
R1 5 Flying Moon
R2 11 Miesque's Manor
R8 5 Miss Stingray

Semi-idiots
R3 5 Aim Of The Game
R7 9 Eskimo Inn
R9 10 Flying Wendy

Be(s)t of luck to all (tu)

I fancy Louvre and True Imperium double

Striker in good form and rides well for Van Zyl in JHB

Had a look at the card: Some impressions

R1 - Favourite Daughter to win from Fab Cat/Zelina/Kimura Cat

R2 - Serruria will like this trip. Tuscan Lass and Captain nTeniele stiffest opposition

R3 - True Imperium seems to have hit decent form. Also not seem (to me) to have been hit too hard on rating yet. Could win again. Goose Valley/Stunning Jet the other contenders

R4 - Zeerust for me. Others who could fill the frame are Cagiva/London Irish/Signature/Timezone/Nero

R5 - Money Grubber could be anything after the long rest. Horse should win if fit. Better bet imo is Forestation. Casey Novak should be a PA banker and dead cert for a top 3 finish like the Crusaders for a win over the Kings on Saturday

R6 - Rocky Stallone shoud finish ahead of Mesmerize. But he has to beat the likes of Irish Gift/Kapellmeister/Reign Victorious/Saint Claire

R7 - Happy Archer one of my better bets for the day. Hopefully the race to make the PA pay. Katie's Lane and Go Indigo to make up the places

R8 - Van Loveren ran on well over a 1000 to win handsomely last time and clearly would like this trip. But I am going with the only horse with a course and distance win, Kailani to beat VL

R9 - The most open race on the card IMO. I wonder why Spies entered this horse at this track? Runs her often enough, so why give her another hard run at the tight inside track? Makes me wonder and will include her in everything. However my personal choice is Zephyr Breeze with Striker on board. Anything else can run a place

Have fun all

(tu) bets are on ,now to enjoy the day,win or lose , rather take my chances on horses that compliment form, info and stable confidence and have a decent punt before racing starts than trying to bet every race on the card and eventually pissing more money away than bargained for .Now the bets are on and I can enjoy the day watching racing(listening to previews, see them go down and making notes of horses go down, betting trends , comments, analize the previous race) and not sitting 90% of the time trying to work out something for the next race, not listening or give anything attention other than your racecard's next race, missing valueble info from stables and insiders , standing in a line to get a bet on and missing most of what we love ,horseracing ,if it was only about the gambling then a casino, poker or sportbetting is a better option, you dont have to wait min 30 minutes for the next event to see if you win.I love horseracing, win or lose :)-D

Hi clanners ...hope that everyone is ok (tu)

Here are my fancies for turfies...enjoy the day

Race 1- this could easily be a race between the 2 first timers here but my vote will go to the well bred jet master filly, Devorah @ 3/1....Patrone , Zelina and Favorite daughter to fight it out for the places.
Race 2- tough maiden plate....Tuscan lass is improving nicely and ran a good 2nd last run but was ducking towards the 3rd place horse...if kept on a straight line should fight this one out with Serruria.....places will be fought out between ruby chimes , Captain’ntenille and Punta chica.
Race 3- two horse race for me....True imperium and Magic approach...TI won very well last time with Strydom and he stays aboard again....Magic approach looks like it can win a few more with a very decent post maiden run over shorter last time...should come on leaps and bounds...Aim of the game can complete the trifecta.
Race 4- I was going to banker Time zone in the P6 but will now include Cagiva who looks ready to run a big one here....ran in 3 soft conditions races thus far and will appreciate a fast track.
Race 5- Forestation took me out the P6 last time beating Emir , that was a good effort and will appreciate the extra. Egyptian deserves another win anytime now and will be right there...these 2 should trouble the favourite who looks hard to beat with a blinker strike today?
Race 6 – Reign Victorius is on top form and can win again today ...but this race is a bit more open and I can make a case for any one of nos. 1 through to 8....take your pick!
Race 7- Festival of fire has won me many doubles and trebles in the past and is pure class, so I will banker in all perms....15/10 a steal right now.
Race 8- Van loveren looks like a decent sort in the making and will be hard to peg back....put the 6 in the P6 and you will get Kailani as well...for bigger perms chuck in Sheen Queen , Penny fare , Miss stingray and Magic potion.
Race 9 – I tend to like horses that raced and won on sand and then comes back on turf...Zephyr breeze can win with Stryker maintaining the ride again.... seemed to have turned the corner for new stable also...Miravar will be right there together with Pinnacle lady and Rosey’s song but it is interesting that the handicapper is not taking any chances with Caribbean Cruise, include in perms!
As you can see , I fancy a lot of horses that are in the money today and am expecting favourites to be right there when the chips are down ....break a leg clanners.B)-
