my money would still be with Anton at 5/2...come the Durban season, and he will make up that deficit....(will have 4 winners at turffles tomorrow)

He will have to ride 5 winners more than Striker every month, and it is probable that Striker will step up the effort if it looks like Marcus closing him down. If he travels once a week to Port Elizabeth where they will help their favourite son.... can't see him getting caught.

Wouldn't write off Anton Marcus just yet, reason being, during the KZN season he gets the option on the Jooste bombs from whether they from Cape Town, Joburg or Durban, and it's quiet interesting to see how many KZN trainers are using him. At the moment Strydom is supplementing his rides with meetings in PE which is a good thing as he is creating a buffer, but it is not beyond the realms of possibility where Marcus boots home 4 or 5 winners a meeting during the KZN season. Not sure of how they betting but the value must lie with Marcus right now - then brace yourself for a late charge:

Guessing has never been widely acclaimed as a good gambling strategy.

But PS has given himself a option with his foray to the Cape and PE where Snaith can give him a few winners on Fridays.
