Remember Drama King for Mrs Hemming breaking down at Turffs I think and being shot - The grooms hacked him to pieces as I recall - As a vegetarian I think it is a travesty to waste the meat - If people are told it's horse, donkey etc and they go ahead and eat it then it's fine. As a vegetarian I would be highly offended if I bought a veg pie and it had meat in it so I understand why some people are angry.

I have eaten horse, frogs, snails, croc, haggis, black pudding, worms, rabbit, etc etc

Plus if stuck in the Andies after a plane crash would be tempted to eat one of the passengers washed down with a nice glass of red wine

Lol

So chill

Looks like this story has taken another turn for the worst. Look what they found in pork sausages.

There's a farmer in Wellington that breeds & farm with Water Buffalo. He produces milk & cheese and supplies mostly top hotels & restaurants with meat. The meat is excellent and tender. Better than any beef stake I've had.

Thank heavens I make my own :D

Of the 146 samples tested over 100 contained undeclared meat species. All the samples marked beef were correctly labelled, but for the most badly labelled case 92% of packets of kudu biltong contained different species such as horse, giraffe, pork beef and even kangaroo.

Researchers were concerned that one sample labelled zebra, contained meat from a mountain zebra, a species threatened with extinction.
