Agreed, don't back on workrider's racing. Would imagine quite a few clanners going through to the Vaal today after re-looking at the Janine Noordman thread. X(

Pick any 50/1 shot on the card for the compo thread... you could just strike a luck...

Is this "thing" about shock results in Workrider races not something of a myth? Having had a quick look at the results over the last couple of meetings devoted to the WR challenge, I noticed favourites and/or more fancied runners actually win a fair share of the races. An occasional 50/1 shot comes home but that is not exactly rare in SA racing anyway. As with all racing, the jockey is important of course and there are some WR jocks who are rightly heralded above the masses, I shall take note of their rides (in the same way I would for PS, AM etc in "normal" races) as mentioned by Ziets and proceed to a normal highly successful ( :S ) day at the races B)-

Having made the statement, I am naturally fully expecting that there will now be no winner shorter than 20/1 ;)

If we are talking the same meeting Bob then there was also only one winner with an SP above 15/2 and I think that must compare favourably with a "normal" meeting. Anyway, we shall see!! :)

Can't have too much of a good thing, and last meet seems just that,

So my bet would be

SB DUMA 21 2 10% 8 38%
R Francis 3 2 67% 3 100% R-2 Flawless Gem @ 25/1

Halfway to 50/1
