The Shark could well play 2nd fiddle to Claverhouse..not a matter of being "Sham'd" but both go out trying and Claver has proven himself on the surface at the end of the day which ever one wins makes little difference as long as the yard has winners today all will be good...

Race 1 : No. 2 TEA'N YOU , the three year old filly showed good improvement last time out over the 1200m, doesn't crack the best draw at 9 but must be considered should Muzi Yeni go to the front.

Race 2 : Outside chance : No. 5. TIGER'S PLACE, good last run in Kimberley over the 1200m, drawn a little wide at 11. No. 4. LIEUTENANT DAN for the Borman stable a must inclusion, Simons takes the ride with a decent draw of 6, good pace shown over the course and distance last time out and must be respected.

Race 3 : SHINDIG my banker.

Race 4 : No. 3 PARIS SYMPHONY, 3 time winner with 10 placed and 14 unplaced runs, good recent form in Kimberley but will have to be fit and at his best to beat some others, I would not exclude the Spies couplings for the exotics...

Race 5 : Sham trifecta boxed here, 1, 2 and 3 boxed...

Race 6 : Outside chance : No. 10. METRO MAN, Visser stable in great form and runners always look well, this 5 year old gelding has 52.00 kg's to shoulder with great recent Kimberley form, Aucharuz takes the ride from a decent draw.
No. 3. CLAVERHOUSE once again for the Sham's, it's a must inclusion in all exotics, Wrongemann takes the ride from pole position and this 5 year old gelded 7 time winner has the best record in this field, 7 wins from 18 runs opposed to JACK DAN 10 wins from 60 runs.

Race 7 : No outside chances here, No. 1. PISCES STAR, needed 68.00 + 0.50 kg's to run second but i', pretty sure the day will soon be upon us, SURGING SECRET looks a danger but doesn't crack the best draw at 9. PISCES STAR is like IGUGU but in Kimberley ;) No. 8. DIEGO could cause an upset.

Good Luck to the Shams!!!

Get some good old fashioned American dirt in there...they run on it rain, snow, slop, mud, no matter what...and the horses have no problems a far as I can tell......

Here, the track appears dry as a bone (but I'm not there so I can't tell) and they are testing and checking patches and doing all sorts of things.

This is the most brilliant sunshine

It must have rained 40 mils last night otherwise I don't see much of an excuse.

Why not run some of the races and stay away from the dodgy patches? why not make a plan for the owners, trainers, grooms, jocks, everyone who makes a living off them actually running.

I can't comment on the state of the track so perhaps I should just keep quiet but really, seriously......
