Nice looking card today with some competitive racing.
Race 2: If Tzigane handles the surface it won't be much of a race. Inn On The Square is a consistant place earner and in another weakish field should run into the money, however her worst run for a while was last time with the blinkers on and would like to see how she goes with them today. Festival Interlude and Cerise Silk the only other 2 that make any appeal on form.
Race 3: Formation's for on the sand is very impressive but will only be my second choice. I fancy Magic Smoke to run a big race, her Sand form has been impressive and off a light weight could run them out of it in the closing stages. Amur Affair was running on in her sand debut and the extra 150 could suit her but she does still have 4,25 lenghts to find on Magic Smoke. These 3 should fight it out.
Race 4: As mentioned before I think Taptap is heavily underrated and could well prove too strong for this field. I make the Magner coupling the main dangers with a preference for New York who also puts in an honest run and Silver Specialist (All the best Elvis) running on into the trifecta.
Race 5: Mr Tobin is the class of the race and is weighted to win this race easily, however he is coming off a 3 month break and will he be fully fit for this race. I was ultra impressed with Right Beauty's sprint running on well over a distance well short of his right trip.Over the 1450 I make him a big runner and expect him to go close. Uncle Tommy clearly has taken a liking to this surface and should also be concerned with the finish.
Race 6: One of the most competitive races on the day. I will give Hang Fire another chance after dislodging Francie in his last run, before that run his sand form has been impecable and I expect him to go close and he should overturn his loss to Polar Moon with the 2 kg swing. Polar Moon and Mogok's Desire are lightly raced on the surface and have both shown they can handle it so should also be there. Boss Cat if fit will be a big runner but I will wait to see how he does today. Benbow and Napoleon Dynamite are not without winning chances either and if Ampere takes too the surface could also be in the number one box. Very competitive.
Race 7: Solarium has proven to be very speedy and loves the surface is weighted to win and is a worthy favorite. Mannequin has excellent C & D form and if producing her best form despite a big weight will make Solarium run. I am in favour of Mannequin and at the odds will have a bet on her. Miss Cantona if taking to the surface could be anything and Kinematic Countess, much better off with the weights with Solarium must also be a runner.
Race 8: Another tough competitive contest with plenty with chances in this race. My first choice will be Mesmerising Melody who ran an excellent second on her first start on the surface. She did pick up a 5 point penalty for that second which could affect her chances of winning but I fancy her to go close. Variety if reproducing her turf form will win this in a canter, but why has she not run on the surface before now? Aljawhara has also 2 good sand wins to her credit and being well drawn could steal the race. Weekend Special also had a good run first up on the surface and is not without a chance. The race doesn't stop there and if Meet Me Halfway takes to the surface like stable mate Motown she will also be a big runner. Load up in the exotics here.
My PA for today is not too big today R240, hoping not to see too many spooks.
Leg 1: 1,5
Leg 2: 1,5
Leg 3: 4
Leg 4: 1,6
Leg 5: 1,4,5
Leg 6: 1,2
Leg 7: 2,3,7,9,10
Play well. (tu)

Not im my first 3. The only horse to come out of that formline to win was Cool Tempest 6 runs later. If you look at the LBT in formgids on that day he would have lost to Eugenes off an 83 MR by over 17 lengths and the Berrymiller race would have finished 11 lengths back. All he could do is win, but he is not for me.

mr Hawaii,
I cant see Silver in the 1st 3 carrying TOP, TOP weight. I think NEW YORK is a better proposition, going for his hatrick.
good racing guys.
