In Writing, forced to miss the J & B Met public gallops at Kenilworth last Thursday because he was off his feed, is now back on song.

But the news is not so good about Mike Bass’s smart three-year-old Mussoorie who went down with colic a week ago. This rapidly deteriorated into peritonitis and laminitis, potentially fatal problems affecting his abdomen and his feet.



Bass said: “He is in the veterinary hospital, on drips and being tended by vets day and night. There is just a small chance that he will make it.”
