Race 1 - For the winner I will go with BOLD FLASH, she loves the Vaal and is in form. ESSENELLES is my second choice, she also have good form and ignore last run on sand. BURLESQUE have good form and busy improving. If PARTY MAGIC can repeat her Turffontein race she can easily win this, but shows non of that form at the Vaal, think she will fight for 4th with NICETY and RADIANT WISDOM.

My first double both been scratched Burlesque x Captain's Pleasure 9/2 was the price (td)

My thoughts on the PA races - use it, don't use it

R3: Looks a 2 horse race between Shadow Line and Flag Parade (who may be better over more ground than this) - the 1/2 brother to Pomodoro, Gold Bay runs without the allies, so may need this run
R4: Very open - lots with chances - my narrow first choice would be Mesmerize, but also some support fot the stable companion Jubilee Claim (who has his first run and has the current stable jock up) - Striker gets back on Matchless Flag - Dragon Fay may improve this trip - load up
R5: Cosmogenic has consistent form, but there must be some doubt about the 1400- Louvre very capable and should be right there again with Paschal Moon and Cherry on the Cake also not out of it - Amazing Grace does look better over shorter, but is well in at the weights with Cosmogenic, so could surprise
R6: Aim of the Game hard to beat on her last run in very much stronger company - can't really find any dangers - Fortitude held at the weights by Aim of the Game, but could be second best; Golden Dynasty gets the tongue tie back on and did win her maiden very nicely with that piece of equipment - not sure about the strength of the Lady Calumet form, Schooner coming down in the ratings and could surprise - Aljawhara still a maiden on the turf
R7: Does look a 2 horse race between Countless and Come With Me, Smart Girl has good form this trip and should place again - Sols Gold has some fari form and is a must for trifectas and quartets imo
R8: Very open handicap - Memeza is in top form and would be my first choice, Jumbo has run some fair races in good company and rates a chance as well imo with Milkwood Manor, who found trouble in his last start but still rain a fair race - Dawn Light has some good form over this trip and even Arctic Sun may improve on good ground today
R9: Another competitve race - Jade Bay hard to beat at best, but has let the side down a couple of times; if he fails there are quite a few others looking to pick up the pieces like the consistent Rodeo Dandy,the improving Zuccarelli, the in-form Blue Nile and De Var Hyt - Turbo Tom does seem to have a bit to find at the weights - looks like there may be a slight disagreement at the moment between Striker and the Goosen stable?

All races from the 5th onwards are handicaps amking it very difficult - enjoy (tu)
