Not mad about this 'down the straight' stuff - not so sure about the outside draw being a significant advantage over more than 1200 (even over 1200 last week Zephyr Breeze ran 2nd down the inside from draw 1 - could of course be argued that it could have won if drawn 'better')

Other thoughts:

R3: Stavinsky improved a lot with blinkers on Saturday - but that was a weak field (not that this looks much stronger) - Colonel Knox probably the danger.
R4: Open looking maiden plate for fillies - most of the obvious contenders try the trip - Video Games improved over ground last time, so needs to be considered imo - Wisdom Stone set to improve - load up
R5: I think ignore Mesmerising Melody's last 2 efforts - both were in much stronger company and she was used as the pacemaker in her last run - back to this class I make her the one to beat - Golden Handshake likes this trip and has an obvious place chance again
R6: Competitve - imo Silent Partner is better over further and Tiger Flash is best over shorter, so I make it between Approachable, Across the Ice and Tiger Attack
R7: Cookie Monster does look the right one, but could have a fight with the older Celtic King who has good form over this trip and runs well for Gavin
R8: Another competitve race - I think River Trip is much better than average and has a definite chance; Virtuosity also has some strong form - of the older horses, I think the tongue-tie will improve National Key.
R9: Real nightmare to close - some of the runners (Balkis, Danish) could benefit from big drops in ratings, others from claiming appies - my top 4 in no particular order would be Balkis, True Emporium, Matilda's Love and Conservationist - load up

Enjoy (tu)

Off the topic a little but a simple question. I always thought if an owner is married to a trainer, only that trainer was allowed to train that horse.......unless the horse was in another province. Example today in R3 number 12 owned by Mrs A Marwing yet trained by Mr SW Kenny, or is that not Weiho"s wife?

I speak under correction, but I think she is Wesley's mother - and Weichong's wife :S
