IMO what's in the press is just the tip of the iceberg... Therefore no official statement will be made and if Chainsaw did walk out like an unproffesional his ass would've been fired!!! In My Opinion.

I appreciate your candidness and you have every reason to not sign the petition Chips but there is nobody on this planet that can say that Ken Rudderford is the man for the job...he has absolutely no qualifications and his track record since his appointment has magnified his total ineptness, there is NO DOUBT that Chain has got to be reinstated but equally important is the fact that KR has got to go!!!!!

Spot on Titch..............it is not a case of Shaw OR Rutherford..................it's a case of anybody who fails to recognise that Tellytrack needs more of the Shaws,Marees and Venters and less of the rest, shouldn't be managing the outfit............and how should he know? ...at least bother to have some knowledge of customers opinion!

?......what many here fail to understand is that TT presenters get paid for shifts and are contracted to do a minimum amount of shifts in a shift cycle......therefore a no work no pay principal would apply.....you cannot get canned for not completing a shift or making yourself unavailable for a shift ......especially if there are extenuating circumstances......let them thrash out the problems with the knowledge that Mr Shaw has a big support base and is one of their biggest assets......... and get Ken to fix things fast .....::o

Posted on Sporting Post:

It is obvious that any criticism of the industry's operations is no go; no questioning, no accountability! This industry has become the fiefdom of a select few who deem themselves untouchable!

Would be a revelation; how many of the industry's staff (TT, TAB, etc) are 'freelancers'?

I have been informed that a number of staff are 'contract' (casual) workers.

If so, have these staff been taken in to reflect employment stats as BEE compliant?

Finally, do we have such a dirge of ability in our country that we have to 'import' a nonentity to run TT. I would presume that a South African only (white or black) would be au fait with our 'divergent' market.

If Rutherford can't shape up, ship him back to his own country!

There are many locals who would more than not only qualify but do a commendable job without crossing swords with staff and the castigated peanut gallery (such as ABC posters)...!!!

When my late mate Terence Kirchner first took me to the Randburg Studio I was bowled over by the comradery and tremendous vibe that prevailed with Shaheen ,Neil Nico Bingler and Terence for ever laughing and "smutzing" and having the time of their lives and when I remarked about this to Terence he replied "and I get paid for it" :)... that has now digressed to a point when the king of clown walks off the set due to insufferable working conditions...so KR if you do pass by and read this then man up do the responsible thing and resign... your obvious contempt with us 3rd world folk leads you to believe that we will accept your shoddy working conditions and the miserable product you are busy turning TT into....WRONG!!! once again you are way off the mark...

GREGBUCKS,I agree with you 100 %, dump them both.

Ken give cricket comentating a go, you can only go from strength to strength, compared to what you're doing now.

I think the right man for the job, & who knows what the public wants / needs is 2CENTS......................... as long as the package is what Ken is getting I'm sure 2CENTS would give it some serious thought ! maybe ?

I think 2cents would get the right staff for the TT studio, with Martin Locke's help.......... GET RID OF THE DEAD WOOD.... PLEASE

Iam sure KR had a high profile position in either NZ or Ausie racing prior to his appointment to TT???
