ya my place bet was cold - so much for horses not getting gallops in races - surely the trainer should declare this so that we know wheather it is a trier for places wtf that was a joke with Bambina

Hatt is riding a bit of "freelance".....maybe not too happy that someone comes to CT to ride for Jooste's and he is taken off?

With all due respect Blue you didn't have to be a "clever" (thanks flash :) ) to figure out that Bambina was only there for a breeze up. She is not a 7 furlong horse nor could she seriously be backed to WIN against a progressive 3 year old Colt carrying way less weight then her.

They do play games, I agree but the games are there for all to see. Sometimes we blind ourselves against the fact that the horse is a "favorite" of ours or that we won some money on it in the past, therefore it should run well. She was not the best in at the weights (2nd best I think but I cannot remember) but with the distance being about 3 furlongs too short for her it was hard to have a go.

This is why punting is such a very hard and truly delicate game. Not for the faint of heart.
