Chris I could replace Delpech with Marwing, absolutely.
(That would be my only choice)

Personally I think the selection should be quite easy
National champion
Gauteng
Kzn
Cape
2 Wild cards for special achievement, local or international during past season

If I understand the USO interview, SAJA needs to be the member to be able to sort out the colours....
Unfortunately, as far as I know, only JHB jocks are represented by SAJA after the majority of KZN, PE & Cape jocks split away a few seasons ago. Some of us have since joined Mark Khan at ProSport International, who sort out our affairs.
Does this mean that any future Wild Card riders will only be JHB jocks affiliated with SAJA?

Just been told that Paul Mulrennan is replacing Spencer ?
Paul is based in the North of England and rides freelance, don`t think he has had any big race wins to date yet he did quite well Dandino a few years back winning at Royal Ascot...

Jeff Lloyd as part of the SA team is a definite load of turd !! Wrong choice on all selection criteria except possible past track record.

My opinion that I feel strong about is that he should not be allowed to race under the SA banner

After all Jeff has given to and done for SA racing and probably in the top 3 jockeys to ever race here I cannot believe that I am reading this. :S

All I can say is Craig Have you had the opportunity to speak to Jeff Lloyd since he left this country? Do you know his current feelings towards this country. Personally I feel as an AUSTRALIAN CITIZEN he has no rights to right under a South African flag.

Craig we are all entitled to our opinions and mine is that there are many competent jockeys available in SA who earn their living here as SA citizens and SA jockeys who should have been considered before Jeff. Simple.
