I am extremely grateful for such a useful product and for free nogal.
The problem is that, short of staff must inevitably lead to a drop in efficacy...............there are a lot of race results with columns of info missing (often the MR's)
I for one would rather pay for a very accurate product than have missing aspects, for free, but I will respect your strategy,Dave

there are lots of racegoers who feel the way you do rob but as you have pointed out staff is costly,,, the amount of complaints we get when the site goes down shows us the demand for Formgrids,, this is openly admitted on TT,, Phumelela say they lose over 2m per year on Computaform so they understand that these things require money to function properly,,, yet they wont contribute to Formgrids,,, does it matter if they dont own Formgrids,, the important thing is that racing people have access to the best info out there,, its their players after all,, and its members of the RA that benefit,,,, so industry support should be a no brainer,,,
we are developing a pay structure that we will use if need be, but it will be a last resort,, we have just done a short term deal with Shirley Kruger bookmaker

Dave,it is apparent that "P" lose on anything they manage(except where they avoid expenses)
It is sad that fact ,and any successful business model you choose, provides conclusive evidence that management of expenses is the key to profitability.
I fully support the profits made out of soccer and overseas racing but I am amused at how easily they fool the ignorant who praise them for that ...........but it should be in ADDITION to a profitable local product ,not IN PLACE OF.
I am reliably informed that the strategic plan at "P" virtually neglects local racing.
There is more than enough local income to make a profit with well managed expenses, but don't hold your breath!

David
As you know we have spoken at length about monatizing your site. After our chat on Sunday i have given it some more thought,
1: make it mandatory to log in and undertake a FULL kyc (no hotmail accs)
2: Wolfgang must ensure that 1 log in per customer (ip tracking)
3: once database is gathered then you go to pricing/charging
for example, you might find that of the 30 000 registered/verified users 2000 are RA members, then you go to Larry with a mandate from them and as part of their RA membership they get free access to FG. This is tied in with the RA sponsoring you R10k a month. Larry (doing your job for you) can actually then pitch the fg membership as par tof the package.
you might also foind that 2000 users are Hollywood customers, same thing applies.
etc
etc
etc

yes we are thinking along those lines, had talks with the RA years ago, came to nothing, as i put all the pieces together there is one person that is using all his influence to block Formgrids in SA,, a common denominator in the structure, so be it for now,, Shirley Krugers ad is up and we will see how that goes until i can move internationally, or take out a bookmakers licence myself,, that might be the answer,, go from an information site to a sport betting site

money has to come from somewhere ,,,,, would have to go back to punting full time to make it pay,,, but now cant throw away the last 16 hard years spent building a new proffesion,,, industry clowns that run the game claim they "love the game" but wont do anything that requires input only, its all about what do we get,,,
