For 12/1 on GALILEO'S CHOICE you will get a Dermot Weld runner, he is unbeaten in his last four, and his sire Galileo to continue with the honeymoon....

The ex-Brown perd has found some decent form since they left him down under....must have a squeak.....is there co-mingling with the ozzie pools or we have a tiny local pool for only us degenerates that need a 6am fix with their morning coffee....

?.....finally they have got it right and betting online was open.......no value on the ex-Brown perd ......and Goodie got it wrong as the Ozzies shut the door on the visitors.......thank heaven's that NEil Andrews never followed through on his Cox Plate fancy as there would have been no value there either........::o

Green Moon keeps Melbourne Cup at home

BY NICHOLAS GODFREY IN MELBOURNE 3:51AM 6 NOV 2012

Report: Australia, Tuesday

Flemington: Emirates Melbourne Cup (Group 1) 2m, turf, 3yo+m

GREEN MOON (Robert Hickmott/Brett Prebble). who started his career with Harry Dunlop in Britain, has won the Emirates Melbourne Cup.

Former Sir Michael Stoute-trained Fiorente took second, with Marco Botti's Jakkalberry doing best of the European team in third.

The unluckiest horse in the race was the highly fancied Mount Athos, who charged down the outside in the straight to claim fifth.
