Novice, JW Premium is produced primarily for the Asian market, sells for +/- R1200 - R1500
The J&B 6 degree is part of the limited production of novel whisky that J&B do along with a few others. Not particularly expensive but nice to have as the normal J&B scores very highly every year in the whisky guides. Not that this should sway you as whisky quality is still based on an individuals taste.

Thanks Tiger used to own a few liquor stores and managed to collect a few and also taste but still stick to the famous grouse , Glenmorangie very rare is also waiting to be opened. Not a big fan of JW

Novice, Famous Goose still one of the top selling stock standard brands in Scotland, like J&B & Bells here. Some of the Glenmorangie is very nice, i probably lean towrds the Glenmorangie Signet personally. Enjoy the bottle of GM very rare....

PK, some interesting facts regarding affordable whisky available here in SA;
Grants - blend contains Glefiddich
White Horse - Blend contains Lagavulin
Balantines - Blended by Chivas Brothers
Use it, dont use it......
