Vaal....EMERALD CUP THURSDAY!!!!!
MBOWENI 18/10 Win(beaten 2nd fav and stablemate twice, better bred for sand also.....BIG BIG CHANCESCRATCHED WITH 9 OTHER HORSES....WHAT A F@CK UP!!!!
LAID BACK 3/1 Win(very very good formline,if it wasnt for the bad draw it would be my BEST BET...)2nd
POWER JET 5/1 Win (if you ignore last run he have this field stone cold very big chance ,full brother JET JAMBOREE very good sort and performed very well on sand)2nd LAST BEATEN 27 LENGHS
SON OF THE BURG 16/10 Place(same odds as the running atm favourite New york for a win,but on the weights have the beating of new york on 3/5 encounters.....wont be surprise if it wins)2ND LAST BEATEN 11 LENGHS
ABOVE THE MOON 7/1 Win (first run on sand, i have high regard for this horse, will be suited to the course and can go start to finish...dont leave out of anything, dropped 20 points in merit rating this year)LAST BEATEN 37 LENGHS
SAPPHIRE RING 1.26 Place (open race...)WON
ASTRO NEWS 14/1 Win ....(First run on sand...have beaten beacon flaire and right beauty easily ,Ran less than 2 lenghs behind IGUGU getting 5kg over 2000m, and 3 lenghs behind VARIETY CLUB at even weights BOTH HORSES OF THE YEAR.....If reproducing anything near that type of form he must cruise in ...if he runs to his best form he have them stone cold.....go watch the ave merit rating of the races he competed in and you will see my bizarre logic ....his merit rating came down 8 points (4kg) in the last 3 months ....big drop in class.....been backed from 25/1 to 14/1....2ND LAST BEATEN 19 LENGHS
INCOMODO 14/10 Place (highly rated by Tarry but race looks very open,Pylon got hammered by the handicapper....how good is he really)4TH BEATEN 19 LENGHS

Race 9 and 10 and 11 - as open as Hugh Hefner's relationships .....if i have to pick i go with ARABIAN STORM 0.44 Place2ND
with striker up in the ninth and with MAJI MOTO 0.69 Place6TH BEATEN 10 LENGHS
in the 10th and the nighmare last i will go with COUNTESS BACARDI 6/10 Place3RD

BY FAR THE KAKKEST DAY I HAD IN TIPPING AND SEEN IN RACING

How do you take these formlines today into future formlines....total chaos awaits on the vaal sand, what the hell happened with that course after the rain????????????????See if you can spot the madness and the bizarre bizarre outcomes....

I hear you Ziets but to be honest that has always been my impression at both Vaal sand and Kimberley and to me there are huge consistency issues with how horses perform. I have always thought it takes a little bravery or stupidity to bet at these meetings, you simply have to hope they run to form. I have yet to hear a decent reason why it happens, everyone just seems to accept it does happen and nothing can be done to change it. All very strange. Maybe those who have runners regularly there or visit there occasionally are able to advise better? Deon Sampson seemed to think Pirates Bounty won the second simply because it was a very weak field... come on, that horse has been beaten by 10 lengths or more in 5 of its last 6 starts and by over 15 lengths in all three starts on the sand. And today it wins by about 5 I think, Erico V may have come into a little form but that is just a ridiculous change in form. I like to find a big priced winner but I wouldn't have bet your money on that one!!! well, maybe a rand or two if it was yours! ;)

ziets racing is always strung out in sand races..this is why the races are handicapped using 3/4 margins instead of full margins on the grass
