Not much between them in my book on ability, maybe Striker is a little more talented but Anton seems to be more consistent and makes fewer mistakes. Striker is able to to win with what appears to be inferior horses and Anton looks like hes able to carry horses over the line, his will to win seems the stronger of the 2.
Both are world class riders but if I had to choose who I wanted to ride for me I would go with Anton. Both are champions in their own right and we lucky to still have them riding in SA.

Striker is a world class rider. His flash of brilliance can be seen in most of his winners. One on one, Anton wont come close.

Check out international stats for Strydom and Marcus in their respective stints in Hong Kong.....:S
Strydom's brilliant ride on JJ The Jet Plane in Hong Kong is just an example of a flash of brilliance.....the rest of his many other rides there are best forgotten...Anton contested jockey titles in his International career and his win on Jay Peg on WC night in Dubai is testament to his world class ability.....but in perspective any one that can rate Cyril Naidoo with some of our country's best trainers....can have an opinion about a jockey that has infreqently competed internationally as world class.....:S

What Cyril achieved in his short career, others wont achieve in a lifetime. Plenty others that are still in racing have done similar or worse.

no need to apologise....he can be a very good jockey when he is in the mood....I just wish that he was constantly as good as he could be.....he has more mood swings than a woman...:
...I have backed more of his winning mounts when he has openly said that they could/should not win.....
MENTOR is just one that springs to mind...(tu)

yeah...honesty is therefore not the best policy in horse racing....a very dear and close family friend worked with/for Cyril...... so I have first hand knowlege of his short and illustrious career.

any one who praise cyril naidoo must be mad. he was starving horse in the stables that lucky is in now. this man must never be given another chance to be in charge of horses again

Everyone deserves a second chance. Andrew Fortune, Hansie Cronje,Jeff Llyod to name a few were given second chances.
