Agree Blue ....... not stirring but if it was Karl Neisus, Andrew Fortune or any other of the usual suspects ... this thread would be on page 12 by now ....
I have also watched that reply over and over again (joys of PVR) and cant see the horse doing anything unusual ..:S

The Stipendiary Stewards Reported (DA): EMOTIF (ARG) (A Delpech) : The winner. Selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M de Kock advised (TN).
Jockey K Shea's left side stirrup leather on LIZZY GREY became detached shortly after the start resulting in Jockey K Shea having to remove his left foot from the stirrup iron. As a result of this the saddle subsequently slipped sideways and backwards, he then removed his right foot from the stirrup iron. Thereafter Jockey K Shea was unable to assist this filly in running and eased her out of the race in the straight. Jockey Shea was dislodged in the pull-up. The saddlery was examined by the Stipendiary Board after the running of this Race and was found to be in good order.
so can someone please explain how this happens if its examined and found to be in good order ?? makes no logical sense and everyone just accepts this?

can someone please elaborate on the term become detached - does this mean you have to pull your foot out of the iron ? then the stipes examine the equipment and all is normal?? come on guys this doesnt make sense

if the stipes found the equipment broken then case closed - BUT this is not the case and all is in good order so why was he forced to take his foot out the irons - come on we need a better explanation then the leather became detached - then surely on examination it should be broken? huh the stipes are not making logical sense and we as the public deserve better than this - give us some logic

I find it very annoying reading some of the comments above. In my 7 or so years of riding work I did have equipment failure and it is not funny. Do you really think Kevin is going to risk his life by organising something to go wrong with his equipment so as to have to take his feet out the irons to stay on. No! Did he look like he was expecting it? NO! Could he have fallen off and injured himself badly? YES! Did the stable think they had to instruct Kevin to do that in order to beat the favourite? NO. Mike himself said to me on course that all he was worried about was her getting out the pens safely and the rest was all over.Says she is brilliant.

Craig you are missing my point - what i am saying is everyting was examined and found to be normal? that is my point - i know equipment can break but this did not happen ? so what now? can you please explain as im confused- it doesnt make sense . What im asking is strictly about the report - how can something be broken and fixed at the same time ? do you see my point?
