Pretty harsh words Sly The guy was found guilty and he paid his fine and did his time on the sidelines. Everybody calls him a racist and yes we can call him that because he was found guilty and if he thought that he was not guilty then he would have taken the case to a court of law. Now tell me this. Do you call those racist Dutchman of the National Party from the 50s 60s 70s and 80s scum or do you still call them Meneer?????

CNC, they are trying to cut out racism in football, yes he served his time (learnt nothing from it) but surely out of the best interest of football in the UK he should of at least shock Evra's hand?? ...

Agree with the shaking of hands but Rio did not shake his hand either. Watched the Sunderland v Arsenal match. Crap first half but good second half. Chelsea are in the shit and I believe that Capello will be their manager within days.

Kreddy, it has been widely accepted that Suarez may not have been racist intentionally in the true sense of the word. However I really think there is little doubt that he made racist remarks whether he intended them that way or not. That is not Evra's fault and that is why he had to shake hands, not doing so was just insane and it has made him the real bad guy. Before I think many of us thought it could be passed over as an unfortunate misunderstanding stemming from different cultures etc and may even had some sympathy for him... now I just think he is a complete knob, arrogant or just completely stupid. It was just the most ridiculously stupid thing for him to do. No excuses. And all sympathy for him gone, I hope L(S)FC ban him for the season if not sell him on, just too big an embarrassment.

No doubt that Luis Suarez is a plonker. Yet we forget for example what Eric Cantona did with is kung fu kick and that the non hand shake by players happens every year somewhere. If memory serves Sami Nasri did the same last season or the year before, there is always "one". No doubt Evra is a ploker antagonising after the game for one and also due to the fact that as a captain of France in the 2010 FIFA WC he and his whole team were very poor in their behaviour... the whole revolt thing in the French camp etc. The media make a meal of it as always and for once in this derby game there were no horrendous tackles and red cards.The game was poor (standard of play) and manchester utd deserved the win. There are plenty players setting good examples and these two plonkers unfortunately are there for kids to see how NOT to do things, which is also very important IMO.

I know what I would do and I have always defended Cantona on that, I am not saying it was right but I'm not going to condemn a guy for defending his mother's name etc.

Sorry the point is Cantona reacted to someone for the reasons said and I have sympathy for that. Suarez chose not to shake hands even though he was shown to be in the wrong in the first place. That makes him a pint sized plonker and Cantona a shot-glass plonker
