thats what i thought...tougher than on 1st appearance...also iam battling to understand why miss october and jackson are such confident selections by so many, yes they can win but...in mo race there are so many with chances surely...and in the derby the de kock horse must have a huge chance

My J&B MET selections:

1st- IGUGU
Tried to find something to beat her , can't see anything. IGUGU should be able to run to a MR of 120 over this distance and beat the 2nd horse by at least 3 lenghts if she goes fullout to the line.

2nd&3rd- GIMMETHEGREENLIGHT & BEACH BEAUTY
If GMTGL stays the distance, he will be fighting with BB for second place, BB will love the 2000m and with only 55kg up will be a massive runner.

4th- TALES OF BRAVERY
Draw a concern, but besides the draw this horse likes to run and is a solid MR113.

5th- Between THE APACHE(better over 1800m, carries to much weight and have a bad draw), CASK(needs to repeat run behind Chesalon on 10 Dec), ILSANPIETRO(better over further), LION IN WINTER(inconsistent, but very good) and SMANJEMANJE(lots of heart, not enough class).

BRAVURA - Better over 1600m and carries top weight with a wide draw, will battle to run a place.

Enjoy the MET guys.

I agree 100% with you FC, the boys are confident and I hope those 2 arrive, BUT IMO they are not confident bets....

East,

I am not saying Agra won't win,but for me 5-10 reps no value at all.If people want to put a 100k on a 5/10 shot that is their prerogative, but at that price I'd rather give it a miss.If Agra wins I'll clap hands, but how anyone thinks they can possibly differentiate between horses that have had one run to the extent that one of them reps a 66% chance of winning is beyond my comprehension.

Agra may be the next big thing, but imo she has been hyped all out of proportion for marketing purposes just because she is by Trippi. The most likely scenario is that Agra will be in the number one box after race 3,but for me it's not as big a probabilty as the market is saying and on that basis I have to oppose her.

PE raiders have traditionally run well in this race, especially from the Greeff stable.According to the market I only have a 9% chance of being right, but personally I think it's better than that.

It's punting 101.

Odds too cramped for me as well to put doen 100k . I won't have the guts. BTW it was 6/10 that they got.
