Been following a story on Twitter about a guy who took a R100 bet at odds of R100/1 that King Kallis would get to his double ton and that SA would score in excess of 600+

SA declare on 580 and this poor oke must be crying into his beer...

Sri Lanka won what world cup away from the sub continent? India won in England in 1975 but Sri Lanka have only won it once. I have been fortunate enough to watch international cricket in every major cricketing nation (live at the match and not just on TV) so i do know what i am talking about.

Only a criketing IDIOT would write the following:
1. Indian batsmen can only bat on slow paced wickets. 2. Suggest a top six batsmen keep wicket in a test match. 3. A bowler ranked in the top 5 be dropped for 21 year old rookie.

Why srick with the same formula? Thats why SA are where they are they never try anything different. The 1992 World Cup in Australia they chocked because the picked the same team for every match and since then they have not learnt are do the same thing today when it comes to the world Cup. As for [icking a batsman as number 6 well whats wrong with that? NZ had theirs opening the batting in Tests as did Pakistan and Dhoni bats there at times as does the Zim keeper. As for a top ranked bowler been dropped for a rookie what about form coming into it and who was the bowler who twice could not get Onions, the number 11 England batsman out in the last seties in SA which resulted in SA not winning the series. As forIndian batsman only been able to bat well on slow pitches well this tour in Australia just proves my point. India 191 all out, Australia 659/4 and India struggling in their 2nd knock. Indian batsman cannot handle short bowling. Finally on this subject and conversing with you its your prerogative to call me an idiot

Cricket's not all serious, even when it is. Some chirps from a variety of merrie men (cribbed off the Internet. Wish I'd thought of them myself, but I didn't):

How anyone can spin a ball the width of Gatting boggles the mind.
Martin Johnson on Shane Warne's ball of the century

Shane Warne is thicker than a complete set of Wisden year books.
Matt Price (not said by Gatting sadly. Wish it was)

The only time an Australian ever walks is when his car runs out of petrol.
Barry Richards

Mark Waugh : F**k me, look who it is. Mate, what are you doing out here, there's no way you're good enough to play for England.
James Ormond : Maybe not, but at least I'm the best player in my family.

Get your sh*t stars off our flag.
Barmy Army to Australian Cricket fans.

Don't bother shutting it, son, you won't be there long enough.
Fred Truman to incoming Aussie batsman as he opened the gate on his way out to the middle at Lord's

The traditional dress of the Australian cricketer is the baggy green cap on the head and the chip on the shoulder. Both are ritualistically assumed.
Simon Barnes writing for The Times

Playing against a team with Ian Chappell as a captain turns a cricket match into gang warfare.
Mike Brearley

As harrowing occupations go, there can't be much to choose between the Australian cricket captaincy and social work on Skid Row.
Doug Ibbotson

When Justin Langer finds his off stump akimbo he leaves the crease only after asking the met office whether any earthquakes have been recorded in the region.
Peter Roebuck

The aim of English cricket is, in fact, mainly to beat Australia.
Jim Laker

Are you aware, sir, that the last time I saw anything like that on a top lip, the whole herd had to be destroyed?
Eric Morecambe to Dennis Lillee

The mincing run-up resembles someone in high heels and a panty girdle chasing after a bus.
Martin Johnson on Merv Hughes

Are you going to get out or do I have to come round the wicket and kill you?
Malcolm Marshall to David Boon

Shane Warne : I've waited two years for another chance to humiliate you.
Daryll Cullinan : Looks like you spent it eating.

Bowl the bastard a grand Piano and see if he can play that instead!
Yabba: Australian Okker Legend

Mate, if you turn the bat over, you'll see the instructions on the back!
Merv Hughes to Robin Smith

Don't swat those flies, Jardine, they're the only friends here you've got!
Yabba

Hell, Gatt, move out of the way, I can't see the stumps.
Dennis Lillee

The other advantage England have got when Phil Tufnell is bowling is that he isn't fielding.
Ian Chappell

You've got to bat on this in a minute, Tufnell. Hospital food suit you?
Craig McDermott to Phil Tufnell

Shane Warne's idea of a balanced diet is a cheeseburger in each hand.
Ian Healy, 1996

If it had been a cheese roll, it would never have got past him.
Graham Gooch on Mike Gatting being bowled by Warne

Rodney Marsh to Ian Botham ''Hows the wife and my children''... Botham replies '' The wife's fine but the kids are retarded''.....:D

Kumar Sangakarra scored three double centuries batting at number 3 whilst he was the Sri Lankan wicketkeeper. Your Honour I rest my case.

How many simple catches did Boucher drop today? Ummm now let me see ..tell me when to stop. De Villers to keep wicket on the NZ tour and to bat at 5 or 6. Simples.

So why did he stop...and then became the worlds best batsmen in a struggling team...so you know more than the Indian, SA, Ausy Paki and English selectors who insist the keeper bats after 6...you will fit in very well with the NZ and WI selectors. Did boucher not beat the SA record for dismissals in Pretoria on a difficult pitch less than a month ago...go back and read your posts on this thread, some are laughable

At least I am a comedian, Problem with you is that you take all my posts far to seriously. Boucher is only in the team because he is mates with Kallis and Smith. Yes he was a great keeper but his time is up. If Gilchrist played as many tests as Boucher has then he would have been the leading catcher (healy kept him out). Bouchers batting has let him down and thats why I am calling for his head. Sangakarra gave up keeping because of hand injuries nad also the Sri Lankan selectors saw it fit to bring in a wicketkeeper that can also bat.

You mention that I should be a NZ or WI selector. Well who knocked SA out of the 96 WC? the West Indies. Who beat SA in the 2003 WC? the West Indies and NZ. Who knocked SA out of last years world cup? Yes you have guessed it NZ. Wow I am a great selector.
