I really don't think mulitchoice would dump this channel or they would have done so before(and I think some influential shareholders would prevent this in any case ) - Hiding displeasure from Multichoice for fear that they would can teletrack will help nothing (i think some folk at Teletrack watch "scare tactics" and think that punters will not complain if they think their complaints will kill the show) - I think Multichoice would welcome your letter and it would serve to show them that 232 does actually have some viewership - Perhaps they would offer to send a producer from one of their other shows to sort the mess out? If there was nothing to complain about then there would not be as many complaints about teletrack as there are on this site - The Basics (dissemination of information) have never been up to scratch while way too much time is wasted on OPINION - less opinion more facts(canter past, runons etc)

Yes. Tellytrack needs to get its house in order, but to lose the channel would be catastrophic.

I'm sure a letter of complaint will not cause the channel to close - It's like thinking that you should not complain about poor electrical service to your home because the council might then cut you off - The people to blame are those that are in charge and the punters should not have to suffer because of them - The various people that have been tasked with fixing this situation have all failed because none have started with the basics - Clear and correct info (which includes a regular replay time slot and zero dead air and incorrect slides) -

I think we have got to get back to basics here

The problem is that they are trying to make the show like a slot machine by adding Ngong, Turkey and trotts and we have back door staff throwing the switches that cannot make a sensible call between the English Derby and a maiden plate at Gowoga?
Maybe a poor example but this cramped programming puts pressure on all the staff and causes mistakes and wrong calls.
I would suggest less rubbish and more time for quality with established form to give the punters a more calculated chance to win more and turn their money over more times and everyone is a winner.

The potential is there for a great presentation to the punter and just as a start drop Ngong to show u are listening to "your" customer

Ps I am still in favour of having dog racing, if we are desperate to feed the compulsive punter, it has established form, they run on time and it takes only 30 seconds, no need to break into local races, far better than trotts IMVHO

The trouble is that none of the cluttered programming is the fault of Tellytrack. They show what they are told to show. It's the way that they show it that is a mess, showing little understanding for racing and for the urgency of providing accurate information. Tellytrack is notoriously shoddy, but the one thing that they cannot be blamed for is the million cart races, Ngong, Turkey, and all the rest of it.

And to blame the Tellytrack presenters specifically for the overcrowded schedule is even more absurd.

True magic u can see and hear their feelings and frustration when they have to cross over to some crap venue, my question is who does like Ngong and trotts? The many people that don't post here and are all racing people, I have never, never met anyone that says they enjoy punting on Ngong??

Punters can pick and choose what they want to follow, but Tellytrack presenters have to go through the motions of pretending that they care about all of it. Hour after hour of yapping away about sh!t that a handful of (desperate?) viewers might take an interest in.

I'd rather shoot myself than sit in that studio reading out Ngong dividends or Volvostad betting all freaking day long. And then getting the blame for absolutely every little thing that goes wrong - and it goes wrong with alarming frequency.
