Not sure Magic.
We do have our fair share as well. The only saving grace is that we have red hot temperatures during the day that dries up the ground.
Bright and sunny at the moment. Will be another hot day.

It has been hard to work horses here. Ashburton has worked a lot more than we have. Some trainers even took float loads of horses to work there. The funny thing is though that since the rain started I think Summerveld has won about 90% of the races run.

I'd hope that Sunday would be an option for Scottsville if tomorrow is a no-go?

As for the Scottsville meeting, if we don't get a downpour tonite we should be fine to race BUT expect funny results.
The bright sunshine is playing games but the humidity is still there.

Pirates, as far as I was told that on Wed pm the pen reading was 30+ and rain was expected for yesterday pm but not the 26mls that they received. I watch 10 forecasts a day at least and most of the time they are not very accurate till the weather is actually happening!

Pirates - I cant answer why the meeting was moved to friday instead of thursday - but i can tell you the pen this morning is around 40 at the moment.

Yesterday afternoon it was still in the early 30s - i asked the track manager if we could have raced last night - he said no because the track was still wet especially around the turn and pull up areas....

Lets just hope it stops raining in PMB too.

weathersa and windguru were very accurate in forecasting the weather that happened late last night and thru the early hours of the morning...i posted this on the greyville tues nite thread and couldnt understand why the meeting wasnt postponed to thursday nite...durban has experienced blazing heat the last 4 days and its hard to believe the track hadnt dried out and quite frankly the drainage at greyville must be very poor...today is another very hot day with zero rain forecast...as for scottsville whether they race tom or sunday my book is in the bin because scotsville and any rain means one thing for punters ...doom..
