My thought for what its worth - after returning from a long break following an injury couldn't Snaith have given Ebony Flyer an easier race than Saturday's Diana Stakes?

Ebony F has won 4 races and runs off an MR 107, so it's features or handicaps for her now.
She has a 1kg advantage here over a trip which should suit. It doesn't get easier for gr 1winners than this.
Although Barry may point out that Hollywood B also beat Igugu so we may in fact have the deciding contest on who really is the best in SA right here at Durbanville on Saturday.

IT IS NOT ALWAYS THAT EASY To find a race for these top class horses especially with so little racing in the cape and the month of october they run at dville ...it is great to see her back and she could draw a larger than normal crowd to dville...what she showed last season she is world class

I really find some of this strange... EF run in the QP last year was fantastic...she in then given a year off...why was she not raced or even exported ???
Igugu has done everything asked once she went over ground we saw her real ability.
Anyway i think that EF will have to go some to beat G Blue in this years QP especially with there being a good chance of strong tail wind while the yard gives Igugu a prep run for the Met in the Paddock.

I will be interested to see how Ms Plattner's new comer Barcolona Winter goes in this company. She looks well above average to me and can possibly run into the frame. (back end of quartets). Too much to do at the weights obviously but not without hope imho.

Ebony Flyer was kept in SA with the Queen's Plate in mind, but suffered a setback during the Durban season - I don't remember the precise details - and was given plenty of time to get over it. Durbanville may not be the ideal venue for a horse of her size and she is obviously being prepared for bigger races ahead, but it is the right race to get her going again.
