Indeed it will. I am still with Taipan though. I also have massive respect for a horse called Silver Flyer. After he won his maiden I saw him as a Dingaans prospect. Maybe the master MDK will take him for a Cape raid as well to challenge my Taipan

My reasoning for him not running in these other features are that they were over 1400m-1600m..

Jackson is a very good sort and is looking for the Derby distance. I do believe though that we will see the best of this horse as a late 3yr old early 4yr old and the Durban season could see him at his peak. He is due to have a prep run in the next week and then into the Derby. This will be a very strong derby this year and the Qrt for me at this early stage in no particular order Jackson , Liancourt Rock , Taipan , Changingoftheguard

For the Stable though , I will be shouting home Jackson

Is there any doubts over Taipan running?

Leaving out the De Kock horse is a NO, NO...

Taipan was scratched from his prep run on sat 17th- hardly the right prep going into a gr1. Difficult to make a call now on the Derby with a number of the top 3yos also entered in the Met.

the de kock horse must surely be the one to beat if he goes for the Derby...can anyone help me with previous de kock derby runners...the yard normally goes the classic, sa derby, d news with their best 3 year olds
