Maybe, but that was a great ride. No pace on, went to the front early in thew back straight, disctated the pace to suit himself, and still had plenty left at the end while making it almost impossible for the backrunners like French Pearl or Key Castle to get into the race. I'd take the form of that race with a big pinch of salt going forward, but that doesn't detract from a finely judged tactical ride.

did not see the ride but i thought Marco on Main Miracle should be nominated

Yes, Mr H, that was a great frontrunning ride - especially as the horse isn't usually ridden that way.

backed the horse and 50 m out thought 2nd or third - i think Striker repaid Marco for telling him what Icemberg needed last week by telling him what this one needed
