left the course...went to old field st tattersallS(GET MY LIFT HOME)....
6th race is on....millard has a 6/10 favourite..cant back it...only R30.00...SO I TAKE (what i think at the time to be the hard luck swinger,2nd and 3rd favourite)...hold and behold...they come first and second...millard runs 3rd.....payout R150.00.
7TH RACE:I BACK A HORSE CALLED AMERICAN EAGLE FOR R75.00(PULLER UP) AND ANOTHER HORSE FOR R75.00....PULLER WINS AT 5/1
8TH RACE I BACK LLOYD AT 2/1..HE WINS NOW I GOT NEARLY A GRAND +
9TH AND FINAL RACE...AT THE TIME ETTIENE IS RUNNING AROUND THE ROOMS BACKING THIS HORSE..IT'S 5/1.....SO I GET TO BRUNO PRETTI(OFFCOUSE HE HAS THE HORSE AT 4/1......IN THOSE TIMES...BRUNO HAD EVERY HORSE PRICED UP 1 POINT SHORTER THAN WHAT THE OTHER BOOKIES WERE OFFERING....BUT HE WOULD LAY TO HIS PEOPLE THE PRICES THAT OTHER BOOKIES HAD...HE DID THIS...BECAUSE HE WOULDN'T BE COMPELLED TO LAY A HORSE IF IT WAS CLAIMED)...ANYWAY HE GIVE ME 5000/1000...THE HOSRE MARCUS IS RIDING(CALLED ROYAL GRAIN)HORSE FINISHED UP 2/1..IN THOSE DAYS....WHEN THE HORSES WERE CLAIMED LIKE THAT...U JUST FELT CONFIDENT....THAT SMILE BEFORE THE RACE THAT YOU GOT THE BEST PRICE...U JUST OOZED CONFIDENCE.....THE HORSE WON....AND HEY R55OO..WAS IN MY POCKET(NOT BEFORE DAGWOOD GOT HIS CHOP)..DO ANY OF U KNOW WHO "DAGWOOD "WAS?
