Hollywood has the best setup for open bets .quick and easy to generate and very user friendly .
There fixed odds are also competitive .
Marshalls world of sport also good for open bets but not as near as user friendly as Hollywoodand their limits are less than hollywoods(open bet) .They do have very cpmpetitive if not the near best antepost odds. This changes near race time though where they more often than not follow the discemination odds.
Betxchange , very good limits , i think the best of all online bookies i've checked .No stretches at antepost online but you do get them during race time .They never stretch their international odds online unless you phone in.
Lm bookmakers no antepost stretches online . Not sure on their open bet limits . If you speak to the owner Lance he could increase limits over R20k. When logged in after a very short time the site logs you out automatically which become tideous after some time having to login over and over .
Interbet ,yes you do get good odds but at limited liquidity.Their tote section is a big improvement from the old set up .Their multiple limits are very low considering that they advertise betting into over 100 bookmakers .
Sportingbet no comment .Unless you like taking SP bets !
Hollywood i reckon is the most user friendly site imo .
I wonder when one of these guys are going to offer us mugs multiple accumulators , where one can pick any number of selection per leg .
my 2cents worth !

Interesting summary Antsinner, I wonder who will be the first to take up your suggestion above.
Clearly Hollywood is odds-on...(

I agree with Tero.
I took 2 multiples on July day......1 at Bettingworld and 1 at Hollywood.
Brown Penny to win and Fisani to place.
The bettingworld ticket was a loser and the hollywood ticket a winner, as Fisani ran 4th in a 14 horse field.
They are the best for me.

Re: sometimes bookies get it wrong

hi...every now and then bookies get their percentages wrong...and it was tiime to have pounced.,although this time it was about a 10% error...i think thats huge.
on saturday ,wimbledon staged the ladies final bet. sharapova and kvitova.
general betting outright was sharapova 5/10 and kvittova 15/10..all well and good...betting to a perfect 100%.
then they offer exotics(and this is where the value generally arises)..i have 2 friends in london and this is their full time occupation, betting on these "values"f,for them 3-5% is heaven sent>>.their minimum bet is about 200 000 pounds.
anyway on saturday booikies were offering set betting...and in womens tennis,it pretty straight forward....u can only win (2-0...or 2-1)..and there has to be a winner as no tie can enter the equation..
sharapova to win 2-0 was best offered 16.8/10...(2-1)...best offered was 3/1......no value taking 5/10 .as there are only 2 possible outcomes back the both outcomes and average 9/10...but it gets better.
kvitova to win (2-0)..best on offer 4.28/1..and (2-1)....4.18/1....averaging around 2/1..if u like kv...better than taking 15/10...
now...how can u show a loss if in a 2 horse race...1 horse is 9/10 and the other is 2/1...and there is no tie ...fill your boots....cant lose.....just find all the money u can get your hands on...and return is in about 2 hours...no risk...
and no tax.....find the value and be a winner

i do most of me betting with marshalls world of sport (mws) and whilst i think their sp bets are the best around(takes away the headache of trying to decipher which is better ,the tote or the price on offer ...on the sp bet mws pays on the better of the 2 ..i think thats unique)and their sp place are excellent value ,sometimes double the price other bookies are offering and the sp is worked out on the stretched price.
but their open bets like their swingers, exactas.quartets and trifectas,1 aspect leaves a lot to be desired...and i have told them i think its totally wrong the way the calculate it.
lets take an example:
lets take a low key race in haydock(uk)...where the pools are small...lets assume the swinger pool is R3000.00 net.
i take a swinger for R500 1x2 and it arrived and it paid R4.00..payout should be R2000.00. at mws i will receive R1000.00 max.
there is a rule there that u cannot win more than the pool.they work the pool of each swinger to be(since there are 3 dividends in each race)R3000/3=R1000.00....
had numerous altercations with them and showed them their pitfalls and (thievery in such a system)..they just cant grasp it..
1).if thats the system they use....then why do they use saftotes nett pool....the pool(in my opinion) should be saftotes and also whatever they are holding on the swingers they have laid) .
2).it can get worse if i took the swinger R2000.00...i asked what would my payout be then...their response was they declare a minimum of R1.00.i think thats ludicrous...worse still if i had judged just befor the off that the swinger pool on saftote was R9000.00....and the swinger i fancied was paying around R3.00.....i know that i shoulldnt take it for more than a R1000.00....for a payout of about R3000.00..But it could get worse if another punter at another branch takes the same swinger...then my payout becomes diluted....i have 2 issues with this system.....1...i think its illegal ..because i am not allowed to scrutinise their books...and they could lay a bogus swinger to themselvesand dilute my payout...and secondly they are not displaying their pools they are holding.
what do u think...is that legal?

I was really pissed off with INTERBET this past week..
For a big race day like a July, they did not offer the ATC places before race day.
I had to go away this past weekend and had to do my bet early. I lost almost all the money in my account doing stupid ATC win bets.
If the ATC for places was available I would have cleaned up. My stable was on fire.
Thanks to POLO, I did manage to re-coup the majority of my losses. He kindly offered to take an ATC place bet for me.
Thanks Polo ( if I was in font of the Computer an TV , we would have made Hundreds of thousands. Opportunity missed.
