Nobody finding much pleasure at Kennilworth so here goes..........:)

The lighter side of life.....

My neighbor knocked on my door at 2:30am this morning, can you believe that 2:30am?!
Luckily for him I was still up playing my Bagpipes.
*
Did you hear about the fat alcoholic transvestite?
All he wanted to do was eat, drink and be Mary.
*
Two friends are fishing near a bridge. Suddenly a Hearse and two Funeral Cars go over the bridge so one of the men stands up, takes off his cap and bows his head. When the cars have gone he puts his cap back on, sits back down and carries on fishing.
His mate turns to him and says, " Dave, that's one of the nicest most respectful things I've ever seen "
" Well” said Dave “we were married for nearly 20 years"
*
Paddy says "Mick, I'm thinking of buying a Labrador."
"Stuff that" says Mick "have you seen how many of their owners go blind"
*
I've just had a letter back from Screwfix.
They said they regretted to inform me that they're not actually a dating agency.
*
I saw a poor old lady fall over today on the ice!!
At least I presume she was poor - she only had R1.20 in her purse.
*
My girlfriend thinks that I’m a stalker.
Well, she’s not exactly my girlfriend yet.
*
Went for my routine check up today and everything seemed to be going fine until he stuck his index finger up my rectum!
Do you think I should change dentists?
*
A wife says to her husband you’re always pushing me around and talking behind my back.
He says what do you expect? You’re in a wheel chair.
*
I was explaining to my wife last night that when you die you are reincarnated but must come back as a different creature.
She said "I would like to come back as a cow."
I said "you're obviously not listening."
*
The wife has been missing a week now. Police said to prepare for the worst.
So I have been to the charity shop to get all her clothes back.

We could get "Snaithed" in the next too. Are we there yet is well in with Naughty Girl and she is drawn well. Flowing stars must have a chance but she is slightly in under sufferance.

Let's try catch these boys at their own game......or "are we NOT there yet"??

This 8th race is a real muddler.......

Only 2 horses with form over longer than a mile, 6 and 8, BUT if they go slow then anything can happen?!?!?!?!?

Where's the rule against stables backing longer priced runners? If they think it's got a chance and it's worth backing at big prices, so what? It is not an automatic assumption of crookery. I'm not denying that it happens, but you cannot assume it every time the "wrong" one wins. Maybe we need to finally accept that betting odds are not a great indicator of the likely result of most races.

I agree fully Magic and at the end of the day it is still our choice which one we decide to back. What I do have a problem with is being misled by the stable. They will say that the favorite is the right one and the others "will need it"....how many times do the "others" win?

Imo if you are looking at pulling a move or if you are not even sure yourself, then keep quiet and don't say a word. If they ask you for an interview just say, "they all have a chance, no good thing" or something of the like.

Don't put your chop on a block and then punt the "other one".

Do you remember quite a few years ago there was a HUGE uproar in Cape Town when 2 Len Salzman horses who were trained by David Payne if memory serves were entered into a juvenile race. The ante post favorite had the stable jock on and the other had an appie up and priced up at 14's I believe. All the talk from the stable was for the favorite and there was even an ante post claim........Then come race day the "other one" was backed from 14's to start at 8/10 I believe and the original favorite drifted to 14's......

Give you 1 guess who won the race.............

I don't care about stables pulling coups, they and the owners deserve some money but not by deception, not nice at all.

Remember a horse in Fairview /Arlington about 10 years ago Armourtrading from the Greeff stable way back when...ex CT and debuts at FW/Arl was a 9 horse race and 5 from the GreeFf stable with 2nd best J for the stable on it... naturally it was worst in the betting @ 25/1 and the commentator still said...and it was worst in the betting Armourtrading blinkers on today from Cape Town that takes this up 200mtr to go....won by 4 -5 and never had a chance in the betting, but was my 1st choice since it came from a worse stable in CT, was always handy and never lost less than 6 in CT and then went to a better stable with debut EC and Bl fitted and great draw...decided that day that NEVER I look at betting when deciding to put money on a horse...we need to think like they think and it is a business...+85 % of human kind if they had the choice and new something that could benefit them ... would they tell the world?? Woud you?? or will you share it with your closest clan members X(

I think not.... STUDY STUDY STUDY...and when you are wrong learn from it and study some more till you understand the logic and what each entry in a race is trying to achieve... and then study some more... look at the race before and the race after after you have decided on your selection... and then look at all others for that trainer for the day... then study some more... then look at the choice of the jockey for your selection..J/T combo recently...would you give an important job to someone youdon't trust?...untill you are comfortable that you looked at all angles of every trainers mindpattern in every aspect of the specific race entered....

And then if you are still comfortable on your selection WIN/place you have a good bet.

and if it does not atleast TRY... go back to the drawing board and study some more...

keep the passion!!

The horse was Millenium Diamond. It was 6/1 and stable companion was 8/10. By the time they jumped the prices were reversed. That was a coup of note.
